Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: Milsurp collector age

35, started around 21 but was interested in firearms since I enlisted in the USMC at 17. I'm more of a gun collector/shooter more than a milsurp only guy, though I certainly have a lot of milsurps. I can honestly say I don't know how many firearms I own at the moment. Definitely need another safe.

Re: For Sale Section - Am I blind?

Not sure if it was possible after the site went down, but they should have taken into account how long members had on with the old site and granted access to the classifieds that way.

Re: Carcano Cavalry Carbine

I just got one also, except mine has a fixed sight. Same manufacturer. I think from reading, it is an M38 cavalry carbine.

Re: Carcano Test Shoot

Sticky bolt can be one of two things. First if dry fired a lot , the slot that the cocking piece rides in can get beat up . That will make the bolt lift much harder . IT can be sanded back smooth . On the custom rifles I build from Carcanos , the more you smooth up that surface , the slicker the bo...

Re: Carcano Test Shoot

Thanks for the info guys. Good discussion as well. I have an update. I bought some of the Graf's and Sons ammo with the long nose bullets and it functioned a great deal better. Now, the only issue was the sticky bolt, but a bit of muscle mitigates that. I'd say accuracy was acceptable, "combat" accu...

Re: Carcano Test Shoot

Hi Rob, I just did the follower test. I can push it a decent way down before the pressure starts to be uncomfortable, but I have thin fingers so I don't immediately touch the sides. I'll try and take a pic of what happens when you try and work the bolt as you would under pressure with one round left...

Re: Carcano Test Shoot

The clip issue happens with every clip I own. I purchased all from LTC who claim they are original. Seems hard to believe, because this issue cannot be taken into service with the way they are. None of them exhibit any external wear. I think without the weight of a fully loaded one, the clip is so l...

Carcano Test Shoot

Hello all, I have what I think is a Carcano M91/28 Moschetto. I used the following links as research: http://candrsenal.com/terminology-a-quick-and-dirty-guide-to-carcano-rifle-models/, and http://personal.stevens.edu/~gliberat/carcano/models.html I have owned this rifle for a while but have only re...

Re: Israeli Galil ARM and AR rifles in 7.62 and 5.56

I have one in 5.56, I'll try to get you some pics some time. I only test shot it. They definitely put some more thought into the "AK" platform, lots of little improvements.

That is a good post thank you. I definitely have some burrs on mine as it does not function right but I haven't tried to do any smoothing to it.

Hello old friend

Hey everyone. I am glad this forum is back. This is the only place to find reliable info on older, obscure rifles on the net. I wasn't a huge poster on the old site, but definitely had activity and bought/sold some stuff as well.
