Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: New to me 1903

This is good to have for 03 lovers..
EDIT I am sorry it does not enlarge enough to read it. The download is easily readable, but the forum must automatically shrink it down.

Ah...lend lease gun with British NitroProof marks. Those are British stamps showing the gun passed testing.

Re: 1943 Remington Rand

You can check to see if the serial number is in a Rem Rand assigned block. But I can tell you for sure you have a M1911 frame, so likely the frame is Colt, and that it received a different slide at another time. 1943 Remington Rand

Back about 11 years ago, I thought I over paid for this pistol. $1000...now that price is a steal.
This is a 1943 made Remington Rand. With the ferver coming over the CMP pistols, this is a honey since it is not a mixture of parts.

Re: Rebuilt Garand

Bolts are not supposed to be blued. There is a wide range of parkerizing colors depending on numerous factors. If it is parkerized, I would say it is normal.
Here is a Springfield bolt that fits your description.

Re: Price check on an M1903

Prices aren't going down. You worried about that $1500 price and "thinking" of mounting a Unertl?
That scope and work will be another $1000
