Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: Need to identify some 8x56 ammo

Sounds like Turkish 8x57 Mauser ammo (7.92x57JS). It has a type S bullet (154gr) and is Berdan/Corrosive.

Best in bolt guns as it may over gas semi auto rifles.

Re: 7.55 swiss 175smk?

You don’t want to jam the bullet into the throat. Most bullets will have to be seated quite deeply in the 7.5x55. Back 20 thousands off contact.

Note sleek Very low drag bullets may seat to mag length without contact...that is what I found with Nosler 175 RDF bullets.

Re: Spanish 1916 7.62 ammo?

The Spanish government when they covered the rifles over to 7.62x51 also loaded ammo for these rifles. IT IS NOT loaded to NATO spec but very close to the original pressures of the 7x57 ammo these rifles were made for originally. This ammo was called 7.62 Cetme and loaded to about the 40,000 psi ra...

Re: 7.62MM Garand

I shot out my first DCM M1 in the 1980s. Found a guy at the Tulsa gun show with new old stock Springfield Armory GI issue 7.62 NATO barrels. Still on that gun and still a smooth sweet shooter!

Took out some ammo for my 380 and for the Makarov 9x18 and side by side it looks exactly the same. Thought the Makarov round had much more power.
You can see “power” by just looking at a cartridge?

What am I thinking right now???

None of our knockdown Steel targets will resist Rob’s 208gr bullet. I saw his first hit ring that steel hard and cover the whole thing with grey lead dust.

Re: 7.62x51 load needed

IMR 4064 is widely used in service rifle (M1A & M1 Garand) match loads. Federal/Lake city has used it in US Military production as well. Not sure if an “over gassed” rifle will find it optimum, but any standard 7.62 NATO rifle should run properly. 42grs with a 168gr Matchking is a widely used Match ...

that little rifle looks “right” now. ...good work. Now engineer some brace for the target hook or pole to keep that little target square.

Re: Ishapore mag capacity

Per loading 12 rounds in the mag and having loose rounds around on strpper clips.. Just because The magazine can hold 12 does not mean you have to load 12. One would use the 2 stipper clips and only load 10.. No loose rounds. Now I have never done it.. On the three I own and the 2 others I have sho...

Rob: We have 6” of snow from yesterday and more coming tomorrow. Just staying home and watching the neighbors vehicles sliding down the hill into the ditch...you know those retired folks that have to go out every day for cigarettes or beer?

Some of the FNM was made by Prvi Partizan on contract. “Made in Serbia or Yugoslavia” or “made for FNM” on the FNM boxes = Prvi mfg for FNM.
