Re: New guy from Tn

Welcome aboard from Toronto! What were your interests for collecting? Of course there are always those wants for a collection that are impossible to obtain, yet were you more of a bolt action or auto loading rifle kind of collector? Myself, I'm all over the map. I have had many different milsurps ru...

Re: New sniper world record

Canadian sniper from JTF2 (Canadian Elite Special Forces...spec ops and counter terrorism) and using an American-made Rifle...none other than the MacMillan TAC-50, designation C-15 LRSW (long range sniper weapon). Rob Furlong, a sniper from the PPCLI Regiment in Afghanistan in 2002, used a TAC-50 fo...

You've been holding out on me Rob! Next time I'm in new Mexico, I'll be looking to see those FALs in person. I will also be sure to bring some treats for the hounds!

Re: G1

I miss my FALs and the inexpensive parts kits. This was the result of an epic build party. The blue tape was the locking shoulder measurement. My FALs are safely outside of my current state. The BGS G-1 went to my best friend. I can relate Cattus Borealis, in Canada the FAL is prohibited since 1996...

Re: Hi all - a recent addition to the Finn collection

I'll post a pic of the paper tonight. POA was 6 o'clock from 50 metres (100 metre range was closed). All hits were between 9 and bullseye, 3 inch spread horizontal and vertical. So if I drift the front post over or Kentucky windage, would definitely be hitting helmets. Used crappy Bulgarian surplus...

Re: Mil dots explained simply

I have second focal plane Bushnell fixed 10 x 40 scopes with DOA reticle. I bought a mil - mil reticle in first focal plane, and what a difference. The 2 advantages were: 1) zero of the scope and 2) estimating the distance of the object based on size at a distance using the reticle and how many mils...

If you can save up for the PEPR mount, I'd highly recommend it. Mine has the QD locking pins.

Just ordered a PEPR mount!! Planning on sighting in my build next week
Very cool! Pics once mounted, or it didn't happen, lol :naughty:
