Re: RUBY Won't Load

I have one that won’t load either. Sounds similar to yours.

Haven’t had time to dink with it much so watching to see what you come up with.

‘sup jek!

I’d check local laws in WA before bothering to get it serialed. In Michigan they required it when I lived there but I think they required the State Police’s lab to put the serial on! Turn around time was supposedly horrible.

Want to know more about my Ruby and making it functional

I have a Spanish made, French used .32 ACP Ruby pistol that my grandfather brought back from WWII. Like to get it running again as a memory of him and it’s long history. Problem is due to the multiple manufacturers of these things and crude design I’m lacking much knowledge of them. Any good source ...

Re: FN Mauser M1930 rear sight - same as what?

Mine's actually FN made in .30-06.

Thanks! I'd never heard of that mount but now I'm interested. How does it attach?

FN Mauser M1930 rear sight - same as what?

I've got a Columbian FN M1930 Mauser carbine. 17.75" barrel in .30-06. Made about 1950. I'd like to put a scope on it but don't want to drill and tap. Exploring some scout scope mounts that replace the rear sight assembly but the one I'm interested in doesn't list anything for FN Mausers. They do ho...

Re: Flat or round?

Flat nosed. The flat portion ( the meplat) works like a wad cutter and cuts through the target like a stamping die. The round nosed bullets tend to push aside the tissue and sinew strands that get in their way.

Re: Foreign Garands

The Philippines are sending back the 86,000 Garands we sent them as aid. The South Korean guns were transferred to them under a different program and thus do not qualify to be sent back to the US in the same manner. They have to be bought as surplus and imported just like any other surplus military ...

Re: 1903 Remington

Nice. I haven't seen a 1903 anything under $700 unless it was fully (you can't easily resore this) Bubba'd.
