Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: Webley safe .45 Auto Loads?

I do not download. Never have and never will. I've fired hundreds and hundreds of rounds out of my MK IV pistol. Our forefathers were not stupid or careless. I shoot cast for no other reason than to help reduce wear on the old pistols bore. Do what you like. My pistol shoots very accurately and has ...

Re: '96 long rifle at 500 yards

50 grains is the max safe load and can be found on many sites. 47 grains is my best long range load and also gives very good case life. The posted "Lawyer" loads today are way down due to the "weak" '96 actions baloney on the web. I have used this load since the 70's and so do my clubs members in th...

Re: First range session after 25 year absence. WOW!!

The most common stain used in the high latitudes by the swedes and Finns is a 50/50 mix of BLO and Pine Tar. Pine Tar can be had on the cheap at any Equine supply store. They sell it by the quart rather than the ounce on Ebay and Gunbroker. You mix the two together. The Pine Tar can be heated in wat...

Re: Ljungman adjustable gas system, another option

OK, you should have been able to almost block off all gas pressure. I would now look at the recoil springs. If weakened ,you will get harsh recoil and 50 foot ejection.

Re: '96 long rifle at 500 yards

I really like the "Bold" backward sights on the Swede rifles. Even though the front sight is wide compared to the target at long range it really makes you center it on the target. "Aim small.shoot small" logic. I've been reloading for the 6.5x55 for many decades now and I have yest to find a powder ...

Re: Carcano Test Shoot

A simple test is to push down on the magazine follower with one finger. Push as far into the mag well as you can before your finger touches the side walls. Does it hurt to do it? If not,the spring is too weak. A photo of the last round problem will help also. Flimsy clips are Carcano clips. Remember...

Re: '96 long rifle at 500 yards

I need to make a correction. I posted the title correctly but put 800 in my post. It was in fact 500 yards, not 800 yards. The match will be 800 yards. Getting old sucks.

'96 long rifle at 500 yards

6.5 Swede rifle at 500 yards. I pulled my 6.5 Swede rifle from the vault for an upcoming match at 800 yards. The rifle has always performed well with my hand loads and I wanted to see if I needed to make any adjustments to the sights. I’m using a Privi 139 grain FMJ bullet over 47 grains of IMR-4831...

Re: Israeli Galil ARM and AR rifles in 7.62 and 5.56

I have one in 5.56 as well. I built the rifle from an original kit on a new made machines receiver. I had IDF markings engraved on the receiver walls to add a little charterer. The rifle is made to function in any conditions and is very hard on fired brass. Being a modified AK,I would have no proble...

Re: A Friend in need is a Friend in deed!

I took the K-11 to thee range today for some load test. I wanted to see if my hand loads would match the sight set to it's lowest setting,300 meters. I set a man siluette AR500 target at 200 yards and held at the 6 o'clock on the target. I fired 30 rounds with pulled M-118 175 grain ball bullets ove...
