Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Cast bullet update in the 6.5 Jap rifle at long range

I have a new Lyman mold for the 6.5 bullet in 140 grains ( 150 grains with lube and gas check) round nose. It is cast at .266 and sized/lubed at that diameter out of wheel weights. While not the LEE Cruse Missile, it is still a long bullet. I had been adjusting my loads around using two powders that...

CZ-50 Chronograph reload results

I loaded up 50 rounds of my wheel weight cast 71 grain, sized and lubed .312 bullets across a chronograph today. My wife did the shooting at 25 yards and proceeded to keep most shots in a 2-3" circle for all 50 shots! The average MV was 1,050 FPS. High was 1,108 and the low was 998. The chronograph u...

Re: 7mm Mauser ammo info request

15 to 20 seconds? Good Lord. You need to do a cell phone vid of that. A record has been set that I have never seen in my lifetime of shooting! I have never witnessed a hang-fire that was longer than 3 seconds.

Re: IMR-7383 in the .50 Alaskan

I shot the rifle this past weekend at 200 and 500 yards from the prone. At 200 yards the rifle groups very well. At 500 yards the bullet has gone sub-sonic and the group opened up. While I got three good hits, several of the rounds were just off target a few inches. I'm going to increase my load to 5...

Re: A friend in need,is a friend indeed...

I cast up 500 bullets yesterday and there was not one zinc weight in the bunch. All of the weights were in boxed of 5 pounds with date codes of 1966,some were brand new still.
With my home built electronic melting pot the melt flowed very well at 680 degrees F. Got to love wheel weights.

No, I don't but the lawyers do. That is why posted loads are so anemic. They are not by designer specs.
