Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: Chinese Mosin t53

Of all the Mosin's I own, the Type 53's have the smoothest actions.

Re: A friend in need,is a friend indeed...

I cast up 500 bullets yesterday and there was not one zinc weight in the bunch. All of the weights were in boxed of 5 pounds with date codes of 1966,some were brand new still.
With my home built electronic melting pot the melt flowed very well at 680 degrees F. Got to love wheel weights.

No, I don't but the lawyers do. That is why posted loads are so anemic. They are not by designer specs.

IMR-7383 in the .50 Alaskan

I've had so much good luck accuracy wise using the .50 Spotting Powder IMR-7383 in all sorts of calibers I thought I'd try it in my .50-110-750 Rolling Block Rifle. I've had really good results shooting the 50 BMG projectiles using IMR-3031 that I thought I'd try this powder with a heavy cast lead b...

I have been reloading the 8x57 mm Mauser with 150 and 198 grain bullets since 1964. I load to German specs, not Lawyer loads for the infamous .318 bore rifles.

Re: A really well designed CCW holster for any pistol type

Elaine has been now "wearing" the holster with here CZ70 pistol now for ten days. She walks the trails at least 3 miles a day with no problems. She also has been to her Yarn Shop for bi-weekly meetings and there is no foot print of her pistol and sitting down is not a problem. At no time has the pis...

A friend in need,is a friend indeed...

A good friend of mine and a member here, asked me to help him make room in his storage shed. I did, and he told me he had some old wheel weights I could have if I wanted them. I loaded up 500 pounds of them not wanting to overload my car with about the same to box up left still sitting in the back o...

CZ50 bore diameter

The cast bullet mold showed up yesterday and I cast 250 bullets to try out in Elaine's CZ50 pistol. These 75 grain bullets drop from the mold at .3125 and I sized and lubed them to .311. I decided to slug the bore hoping that it was not .312 or larger. Imagine my surprise when the slug measured .308...

Re: A really well designed CCW holster for any pistol type

Elaine just finished a six mile hike on the mountain and she says that caring the pistol was no problem and no skin irritation. There is no "footprint" of the pistol that can been seen as she is wearing it.

Re: Boer War Photographs

The "bullets" are bottle necked case with a large rim. They could be a large Mauser cartridge or even captured Britt .577/450 cartridges.

Re: .45 long colt

Gunsmiths using the name "Long Colt"? There is no such thing. It is .45 Colt. Its as bad as calling a magazine a clip.
As for unstable, I had several .45 Colt revolvers both original Peacemakers and new made large frame. They all shot fine.
