Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: Something fishy in K98s

When he rolls the rifle so you can see the right side of the receiver you can see the buffer wheel marks. The markings look like they were punched last week.

Re: Reloading dies for 7.5 swiss

Not so much flawed but not to the original M1911 specs. This is more common than you'd think. I have seen this in .30 Carbine, 7.62x51mm and .30-40 Krag dies. the carbine and Krag dies were cut with a worn reamer. The 7.62 had the shoulder too far forward preventing any of my rifles from closing the...

Re: So Cool!!!

Rocky and the Space Rangers would be proud. To recover the engines and other major parts they way they do has not been done by NASA. Good for Space-X. They have cameras on the car. It will be fun to see how well it last in deep space as it orbits Mars. The cars radio was playing David Bowie's "Space...

Re: Marlin Model 19 Shotgun

Cool. They are very nice shotguns. I was handling just yesterday several 19's as they were the top-of-the-line engraved. There was a full rack off them, all marked not safe to shoot. As per Ron's gunsmith as they failed the test. I'm a big shotgun guy and have "a few" in my collection as my wife and ...

Re: Marlin Model 19 Shotgun

Please be VERY careful shooting this shotgun. There are many here in Albuquerque gun shops with warning tags "Not safe to shoot, for collectors only" If you have an early gun,it is possible for you to have a false battery condition. It looks to be locked and it is not. You fire the gun and the bolt ...

Re: what to do with 1909 arg ?

I would have dies made so you can shoot the rifle with the CORRECT bullet diameter which is .312. LEE Products can make you a set of dies from a fired casing. It was common in the 50's and 60's to just rechamber a rifle to take a .30-06 cartridge even though the bore was larger than .308. The Argy r...

Re: Reloading 9mm brass shot in Glocks

The early Glocks had an unsupported 6 o'clock at the breech. This causes the bulge you see in the brass. Some die sets have a tapered or large die opening and may not size this bulge down. They do this for progressive loaders where the case can move around a little. Make sure your die is touching th...

Re: Finn 1891 rifle

While I did not win the match, the rifle shot well. The zero with my load was off as the rounds were dropping too low for the sight settings.
