Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

'95 Nagant revolver with .32 ACP cylinder range report

I took the safe queen out with the .32 ACP cylinder installed to see how well it shot with my reloads of cast .32 ACP loads. Out of the CZ27 pistol and other CZ's the load shoots very well. The Nagant has been worked on by me to reduce the trigger pull and a tuning of the revolvers action to allow a...

Re: Best m1a mags to buy

you. need to try several brands of magazines. The M14/M1A is very magazine sensitive.Find out which magazine works the best for accuracy and mark it for your rifle and sell the rest.

7.62x39 load data using WC846

WC846 works well in the 7.62x39 cartridge. Using a 124 grain, steel core bullet the powder works the action and is accurate.
At starting load is 24 grains and a maximum of 26 grains showing no pressure signs.
Since there are slight variations between lot numbers start with the 24 grains and work up.

Re: Ishapore mag capacity

Here is a 12 round magazine. The most common way to control magazine capacity would be to change the length of the follower legs.

M1 Carbine converted to 5.7MMJ 200 meter range report

5.7 MMJ Johnson Spitfire M1 Carbine conversion from the 1960’s A few decades ago I acquired a M1 Carbine that had been converted to 5.7 MMJ or the .22 Johnson Spitfire cartridge. This is the .30 Carbine case necked down to .223 with a shoulder common to our .222 Remington. Without going into the lon...

Re: Type "I" Carcano 6.5 Jap rifle question

The rifle has turned out to be an outstanding shooter. Brass life will be very good as case base swelling is far less than a Type 38 issue rifle.

Re: Ishapore mag capacity

Yes, there are both 10 and 12 shot magazines. Having 5 round stripper clips ( chargers) as issued for NATO and other countries, have two more rounds would cause a partially emptied clip.

Re: No Internet In NM and Blizzard coming

Internet came back today. Snow stopped at 1715. There is 24" on the flat ground and over 3 1/2 feet at the walls of the house. I spent the last 12 hours working on my tractor and plowing snow on my drive and two of my neighbors. The temp never got warmer than 16 today. Global Warming........yea right.

No Internet In NM and Blizzard coming

New Mexico has no Internet due to a major problem with Centurylink. Many millions without service in the Southwest and elsewhere. Reports say two days to repair. We just got a Winter Blizzard warning of up to 20 inches of snow in the next 24 hours. Snow clouds outside really look nasty. I got the tr...

Re: Share you facts on the Type I rifle

I read that the rifles did use two stock lengths. One for the "normal" height Japanese from the central and southern Main island, and a longer butt stock for the northern main island and north islands residents. Having lived in Japan for three years I can see this as being necessary as many of the no...

Share you facts on the Type I rifle

An interesting rifle made by the Italians for the Japanese. The Japanese considered them to be 2ND rate, as did the Britt's and our M1914 Enfield rifles we made for them. Serching the net I was able to find a few facts about these rifles. Please feel free to add what you to have found about these ri...

My rifle did have a troop tag And our departed friend Guisan found a relative for me 28 years ago when I first got the rifle. The original soldier has long since been gone but his grandson was still alive and I sent him a nice photo of the tag and the rifle being shot at long distance. A couple of m...

Carcano Type "I" 500 yard range report

Reports state that the very good or better condition rifles are very good shooter...... Today I held our annual " Santa Claus Shoot" Hit Santa ( man torso AR550 target) and then his ten tiny reindeer ( painted rams) at 500 yards. 20 shots. The least rounds, most hits wins. I loaded up several bullet...
