Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: SOG Southern Ohio Guns is history

I had bought many "kits" from them, as well as receivers and ten years ago, 50,000 rounds of South African 7.62x51mm ammo. ( a full two ton pallet for the club)
It is very sad to hear they are now history.
Now lets see what happens to AIM and Centerfire Systems.

Next time your out this way, bring that new toy. I'd bet you'd have a ball shooting it at 800 meters.

Re: Carbine Family Photo

I have a like new Polish and it is about as accurate as throwing a cinder-block. just my luck.
I have two Type 53's and not only do they shoot very well, both have "Krag" smooth actions.

Re: What kind of guns did the Pilgrims Pack

Back in the early 60's we school kids took a trip to the Smithsonian Institute to see a display about the Pilgrims. One firearm I remember was a blunderbuss. A very early, easy to load scattergun. Just about anything could be loaded. Rocks, lead ball, nails, glass, just about anything you could drop d...

Re: No2 MkIV With No4 Rear Sight?

The magazine reads like it has been replaced. All the ones I own, seen have had the guts removed and stamped .22 The rear sight must be raised in order to remove the bolt. Seller was a work of art not letting you see the bore. 700 bucks sounds high to me. Rifle was most likely in a shooting club or c...

I had no idea they were worth that much! I paid 450 for mine in 2004. Talk about inflation.

'98 Krag in the wind at 385 meters.

I'm holding a Turkey Shoot for the match this month at turkey targets set to 385 meters. The weather was supposed to be windy today and it was. Wind was constant at 25 and gusting to 40 MPH. I decided that a heavy bullet would be the way to go. I took my '96 Krag rifle 30-40 with 200 grain RNFB FMJ'...

Re: NM MILSURPS 800 yard match thoughts

I've tried several of my Carcano rifles. I do own a '41 type and have tried several loads both .264 and .268 bullets. Slow loads and pretty fast loads. for some reason once the bullets past 500 meters, it just does not want to be as accurate at 800 yards. ( we have a split range, yards and meters). I...

Re: NM MILSURPS 800 yard match thoughts

I only own a couple that have been converted to .323 ( S bore) and used by the Turks a lot. The rifles bore are very worn and only shoot minute-of-man at 200 meters.
If the rifles were in better condition I think they would be great shooters with 189 grain SPBT bullets.
