Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: F-104 Trivia

I was off the coast of Quang Tri Vietnam shooting the crap out of anything that moved. We had a break in the "Call for fire" and I left the 140 degree gun and stood next to it by the port lifelines. My boss Chief Morris, came up from the Carrier Room ( where the gun is controller for loading ) and w...

Re: JFK

I and my Navy shipmates spent the day at the Texas Schoolbook Depository. What the media never shows is how CLOSE the shots really were. We are talking pistol range distances. You are forbidden by a Policeman stationed at the window to photograph the exact angle of the shots and hold your camera out...

Re: spotting scope question

I've been using a Bushnell 3-24 power scope I bought 40 years ago. With good quality optics you can clearly see bullet holes in the white at 300 yards. If your shooting range if facing East or slightly North East you can see the bullets holes in the black as well. If your range is not facing as stat...

D-Day Plus 75 years....

My Dad was landing on D-Day in a Swimming Tank. Being a Senior Enlisted man running the Tankers he was not in the first wave of swimming tanks. As you know the Navy launched the tanks way too far off shore and they all sank taking many of the crews with them. The landing beach was so littered with t...

800 yards with two semi-auto "Sniper" rifles

I'm holding a 800 yard match this month. Scope and Open sighted rifles. I tried two of my rifles, both with original optics and my match loads, which in a PU or other bolt rifles shoot very well indeed. First up is an original PSL.This is a very special rifle "brought into" this country by a friend w...

Re: Time to ride the Homelite Trail King 2019

I took the scooter out today. We drove up to Pine Flat as Oak Flat was being used to film a movie. I have never driven Pine Flats and had no idea just what the trails were like and what the driving conditions are. In short the trails are for full blown Mountain Bikes or enduro Motorcycles. Rocks and...

Time to ride the Homelite Trail King 2019

The old girl is still going well with only slight wear on the driven shaft for the two speed gear box. The woodruff key was badly worn causing a lot of play. I had to order several off of Ebay that were not Chinese steel and made of hardened steel here in the USA. The gear box seals as I posted earl...

Re: Death of a like new CZ27

Thanks for the link, but no one so far has a barrel for the '27. There is a fellow who bought and disassembled a very good plus pistol just to sell the parts. we may be able to come to terms.

Death of a like new CZ27

Elaine and I are big fans of the .32 ACP ( 7.65 Browning ) over the last two years. Both of us have several handguns in this caliber. With the small cartridge,it is very economical to reload. With a cast lead bullet and a charge of Unique powder you can shoot it for pennies all day long. She and I w...

"Snap this one up!"

I'm holding a Snap Shoot this month. 50,62,70 and 75 yards. 20 shots with a maximum of three seconds allowed for each shot at the four targets. The shooter will be at the carry stance and given the order to shoot. I tried several rifles and carbines that seemed to point well as there will be no time...
