Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: Home Rolled Solvent

Hydrogen peroxide while safe on Barrel Browning can change the color of a blued gun. It is used in home brew Cold bluing and if left on the Blued parts will darken or streak the colors if left on the surface for an hour.
Just be aware of that.

Re: My Yugo M24/47

They are in the top 5 accurate 8x57 m/m Mauser types out there. I've shot mine at 800 yards and it did very well with the 198 grain bullets.

Re: Canadian 8mm Mauser?

Its great ammo. You have some AP as well. Not common at all.
I've shot tens of thousands of these in my Maxim Guns.
The Britt's and Canadians had the BESA Tank machine gun.
And we were providing China with 8x57mm ammo as well.

Re: The State of Our Hobby

Over the years I have only had five young people shoot with us. Only one ever stayed with my club. They found out real quick that shooting farther than 25 yards was a skill and not a video game. I'd love to have the young folk show up and shoot with us,their minds are so poisoned against firearms th...

Re: .310 Cadet handloads at 200 meters off-hand

I am using the rifle for the match next Saturday. The little rifle is just so accurate and easy to shoot 200 meters is just too easy to do.

I've written to you a couple of times over on other gun forums about your locking blocks. Reviews are very good. Go ahead and make NINE more post here, and you can sell your blocks to members. You may even offer a Group buy to get the price down a little. Better yet, become a supporter/sponsor of SRF...

Re: Stuck Case

This is common due to the 6.5 Chambers being larger than the sizing die. The case separates just forward of the base. I fire form all my cases with Unique and corn meal. Then neck size only. To get your stuck case out, thread in a FINE toothed tap to fit the Body of the stuck case. Once you the tap ...

Re: Venezuelan 7x57

Nothing wrong with FN 33 7x57 Mauser other than the primers are sometimes dud's.
I have a like new ( sans a few stock dents from handling) Venezuelan 7x57 rifle and it shoots the FN ammo very well.

Re: .310 Cadet handloads at 200 meters off-hand

I went to the range again today. Using the 130 grain heeled bullet this time 45 Alox / 45 Johnson Paste Wax / 10 Odorless Mineral Spirits and bullets coated by shaking in a coffee tin.
10 grains of IMR-4227.
Amazing accuracy at 200 meters. No leading

.310 Cadet handloads at 200 meters off-hand

I'm holding a 200 meter Off-hand match this month. I will be using an as issued .310 Cadet training rifle. I hand about 100 rounds of loads I tried and did not like the results and wanted to get rid of. I also had 20 rounds of a new load I wanted to try. For giggles I brought a third Cadet in milita...
