Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: Browning has ceased producing Hi Power

Now that I have learned my Hi Power likes 115 grain bullets instead of the 147 grain bullets that I tried to feed it. It is my best shooting 9mm by far and while I wouldn't carry it, I have no problem keeping it as a home defense pistol. In any event, Citizen Swihart, how can a John Moses browning d...

Black Friday Shoot

As usual, Citizen Swihart held his Black Friday Shoot. Very popular with those of us that avoid the malls like plague on that day. This years' event was held at the Middletown range which is a very inviting place to shoot. Abundant sunshine and temps in the low 50's made for an ideal day with friend...

Re: New gunshow set up!

Nice seeing my favorite pusher in Dayton again. Unfortunately the fairgrounds Coliseum is not large enough for classic Bill Goodman's show. Todd had a lot of good stuff on his table and as usual the best ammo prices in the hall. This time, there wasn't anything on the table I couldn't live without. ...

The wrist looks like advice from Candyman would be a good thing to have. He is the resident stock repair guru. That split doesn't look good!

Re: Webley Gem

VERY, VERY NICE. I would suspect the mark on the grip is damage as I've not seen any Webley grips with that mark before. Noe the important question, how does it shoot?

Re: REMINGTON M1863 PERCUSSION ‘ZOUAVE’ RIFLE REPRO

Enough of the negative waves, Moriarity! I've used quite a bit of black powder. It's not too difficult to clean. While the barrel is still hot to warm, pour a bottle of water down the tube. When you get to your cleaning location equal parts of water, alcohol and Murphy's oil soap poured into the bar...

Re: REMINGTON M1863 PERCUSSION ‘ZOUAVE’ RIFLE REPRO

OK Todd, You can get black powder from Graf & sons. They do have a HAZMAT fee so find a friend or two to go in on the purchase. Whatever floats your boat for round ball or minnie, Using round ball, mt dad just used bore butter as a lube with a cloth patch. For minnie, I use Alox as a lube. Then you ...

Re: Pics of my MK 1 Webely

At some point the cylinder was shaved. However, unlike the the shaved MK VI pistols I have seen, the metal was reblued not left in the white. This may have been part of the switch from black powder to cordite. It was found that the cordite was more efficient in a smaller case than used by the black ...

I have both! If one had to go, sorry US Model of 1917 but my No 1 MK III isn't going anywhere but the range.

Re: A question

Mark, your suggestion is the one I had thought to be the most likely answer. The brass is stamped .43 Spanish and 8 cases have been annealed. In due course, I will anneal all of the brass I have and then load it once again.
