Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: Gun Broker and Completed Auctions

Same thing happened to me last night. They must have "improved" the website.

Re: Any Friends In Germany?

Thanks all for the info and suggestions but it sounds like getting brass from the continent is not a viable option. I'm glad I explored the idea but I think I'll shelf these projects and wait for one of the US manufactures to do a run of each of them. I may experiment with forming shells someday but...

Re: Any Friends In Germany?

Both really. I'm looking to load shootin ammo but want to avoid forming cases if I can. I guess that would be a last resort but I'm not quite there yet.

Re: Cheap, low-buck rifle holders for cleaning?

I built my own out of 2X4's and a plastic tote. The parts that hold the gun are leather wrapped foam. The whole thing is more of a washing station as it circulates solvent through the bore but it could be used to hold a gun for cleaning.

Re: Any Friends In Germany?

Well that's a little disheartening. I'm certainly not looking to ask anyone to do anything that could get them in trouble. My hope is that small quantities for personal use would be exempt from import/export regulations (or at least fly under the radar). I'm sure it varies from country to country th...

Re: Any Friends In Germany?

Thanks for the responses. I'm looking for .318 Westley Richards and 6.5X53R Dutch. I had a line on the .318 from a retailer in Australia but passed on it for another source that then didn't pan out. It's been quite a chase. Horneber seems to be the way to go if I can find a way to have them shipped ...

Any Friends In Germany?

I've been searching for brass for two hard to find calibers and am having no luck in the States. Starline, QC, etc, all list them but do not regularly stock them. The only manufacturer I can find that seems to produce both calibers is Horneber in Germany. I've enquired both with Horneber and their r...

Re: Finished collection, now what?

Wow, can you imagine how much that would cost?!?! Either to get one of every possible K98 variant or to then put a 100 rounds through each. Love the idea and it certainly would keep me busy for years to come but way outta my reach. Kudos to your friend. A buddy just told me he has several extra 98b'...

Finished collection, now what?

Hi all, returning poster with a problem. When I was first on this forum in the early 2000's I had just begun my collecting efforts. I began by examining the complete list of K98k date and factory codes. Then, for each year of production between '34 and '45 I picked what I thought was the most intere...

Back After A Long Absence

Hello All, I was a frequent poster back in the early 2000's but lost my profile during a server change. Have been an occasional browser since then but I'm looking forward to participating again. I've got a little bit of everything but have concentrated my collecting efforts on K98k's. Heading over t...
