Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: Milsurp collector age

I started shooting at about 5 using my dads 38 Colt service revolver - with him kneeling behind me and holding my hands in his. I got my first gun, a 22 Remington bolt action at 8 and a single bbl shotgun the next year (traded that in for a 20 ga double the next year). It has all been down hill from...

Re: my K98ks

Colorado has a law that you can run a vehicle with original plates rather than current state registration. You just have to have the state plates in the vehicle. Thus I have proper Luftwaffe plates on the Kubel and also on one of the combis (late style with only a rear plate, couldn't find anyone to...

Re: some of my pistolz

I think that this the only one I have.
The far one is a 70/80s ? vintage new made semi-auto schnell feuer copy with detachable mags. Seems like this was a Fed Ord projekt where they made semi auto frames?

Re: some of my pistolz

Have a few, but don't collect them.
I've got a Colt Bisley & SAA, both in 38/40, a Ruger Bearcat and a new in the box/unfired Ruger Colorado Centennial. Seems like there is at least one other, but???

Re: Picked up an ammo belt for my 1903

That is not an 03 Springfield belt. It is for an M1 Garand.
The 03 belts had a strap/snap to divide the pocket into 2 sections for the 5 rd Springfield stripper clips. Also none of these will be dated after WW 2.

Re: Norwegian K98s

The Krags made during the occupation were new made rifles, not reworked or spare parts guns. If I remember right these were made and are dated for 3 different years. I used to have a couple of them, not sure if they are still in the safe or not? I also have some of the Norwegian ammo for them in my ...

Re: Maschinenpistole 44, or MP44

The MP 43/44/Stg 44 is a nice family of weapons. I have all 3. My shooter is an MP 43 bought from the vet who brought it home, and papered it in the 68 amnesty. Here is the heard + some parts and accessories. Well I guess not, I don't seem to be able to figure out how to post photos on this??? OK, l...

Re: My G u. K 43s

Danke Alles! I''ve only been working on this collection since I got my first G 43 in about 1957. I had bought a byf 44 K98k from an uncle who brought it back and was using it for a deer rifle. However I have a thing for self loaders and so I grabbed the first G 43 I came across and then began using ...

Re: My Viet Nam bring backs

The AK was registered during the 1968 Amnesty by the vet who brought it back hidden in his gear.
As I said earlier my camera died a long time ago so I don't have any other photos of the AK.

Re: my K98ks

Here are the 3 combis and my Kubel. The bikes are 2 chicom and a ruskie copy of the pre/wartime BMW R71. Only the ruskie has a driven side car. It is my back country bike and the only one with lisc plates on it. Since the one chicom was painted chinese army green when I got it, I left it that way si...

Re: Norwegian K98s

You don't say, but the photo of the mass of K98k rifles is in the anti-way at the entrance to the Norwegian War Museum at Acres Hus in Oslo. They have about a hundred K98k rifles welded together to form this moulage of rifles. I was there in about 1975? Somewhere around here I have some photos of th...
