Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: Original matching [SA] 91/30

I assume it does not have an import mark? It must have been someones bring back. Thanks for posting. Does it actually have a SA stamp on the left side? Don't forget import markings were not required till 1968. I believe Interarms brought in alot of Finnish arms before this date. Could just be a ver...

Re: PPD 40 and lost steam

The head spacing is the biggest issue right now. The Barrel/Extension is pressed into the trunnion, but is not drilled and pinned yet.

Re: PPD 40 and lost steam

I used to reenact Soviet WWII and the pps-43 and ppsh-41 were over done. And the receiver is actually a custom built job. To my knowledge there are no other ppds in the country.

PPD 40 and lost steam

Figures some of you would get a kick out of this project I'm trying to get back into. How many of you have seen a PPD-40? Interesting hodge-podge of semi automatic internals, PPSH lower and stock. Maybe some day I'll get back to it.

Re: Polytech SKS Hunter Question

I'm still on "damn gun only holds 5 rounds" - last time I checked the SKS holds 10 - or is this a limited mag of some kind? CRomanos SKS Hunters were the last variety brought into the country. A 5 round mag was one of the characteristics of the rifle. They only brought less than 1000 of this versio...

Re: M-59/66A1 SKS...

I love 59/66A1 guns. What I love more is when a a new owner and an over zealous cleaner shuts off the gas, cant get the grenade site to lay flat, and wonders why the gun wont cycle anymore. I've seen it once and got a chuckle from it.

Re: 2018 - Mosin Nagant Prices

Anyone been watching local resell listings on mosings? Gunshows in Ohio have gotten bad, but armslist is just getting comical with pricing. A 1942 M91/30 listing for $400 is not uncommon anymore. One guy doing that? I get it. Almost everyone? well that is something.

Re: 47 Izhevsk 91/30

That is quite comical to me.
The one thing I want to know about, and some Russian Factory worker is probably laughing in the afterlife because it remains a mystery to me haha.

Re: 47 Izhevsk 91/30

What is the date on the receiver tang?
Curious if they ever rebarreled rebuilt guns like the Fin's were so apt to do?

Let us know if you can :)

Re: Polytech SKS Hunter Question

Sadly I need a Hunter Stock. I dropped it off at a gunsmith to see what kind of magic he can work.
Fingers crossed it comes out half decent. Just saw that one went on gunbroker in November for $905

Could hardly believe that.
