Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

98K Sniper Rifle Work

Does anyone know who can do scope work for a 98K Rifle? Specifically scope work, removing and replacing a closed ring scope mount.

DOW Scope Repair

Does anyone know of a person who work on vintage scopes? I have a Czech DOW scope that has to be disassembled to remove the closed ring claw mounts that are too low and will not clear the bolt. I want to replace them with taller mounts. Thank you in advance for any leads.

FAL Bayonet

Just tossing this out. We all know about the steep price of the FAL model B bayonet. The one that fits the long Browning type flash hider. I have seen them for a low of $370 and up to $700. Here's my question to all you smart FAL lovers, in looking at the model A bayonet, do anyone thinks it's possi...

Re: 1905 Ross

I have heard of people using an "O" ring against the rim. Thanks for the tip, In the days of cheap and plentiful .303 surplus, I used to shoot my Enfields, but when they dried out, I picked up some new brass and took out my No.4 Mk1 T sniper to sight in, and after a reload or two, the case separated...

Re: 1905 Ross

Thanks, I will check it out. I have found that, besides being Berdan primed, 303 military brass is much thicker than commercial brass. I have loaded some 7.5 Swiss berdan brass, but my berdan primers are running out. I know that I can find some, but what a hassle to get them as I live in the "People...

Re: 1905 Ross

I just got my 1905 Ross Rifle and haven't had a chance to take it out to the range. It is "U.S." marked, in the original military configuration. My first impression is that it is a finely built, unique rifle, and has very good lines, probably from it's sporting gun heritage. I have Swiss K-11's and ...

Re: 1905 Ross

Thanks for the help! You are a true hero. I checked it out and I will try to disassemble the bolt tomorrow. I guess they concentrate on the 1910 due to the improper bolt reassembly and the danger associated with it. Again, thanks a million!

1905 Ross

Just got a 1905 Ross Rifle. I would like to disassemble the bolt, but I can only find instructions for the 1910. I picked up an reprint of the 1905 instruction booklet, but can't make heads or tails on bolt disassembly. I am proceeding very carefully, as heaven forbid I break something. Thanks in ad...
