Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: thought I would come back and try it out .

I was on the old site as well, but I forgot when I started. I let my online presence drop off and only realized recently that the forums had gone through a complete restart.

1938 S/27

I got this from a gun show a while back, it was labeled as a Russian Capture and does have the X, but also has this weird concentric circle 'K' or 'R', it retains it's capture screws, missing cleaning rod, has a front sight with no grooves, and has an earlier hardwood stock. https://s26.postimg.org/...

Re: Another Moron

Looks like someone went from a new truck to a 1998 Pontiac Grand Am while still making truck payments.

Re: MAS 36

Not quite sure how I feel about a firing pin resting on a primer, it's probably fine since it's just resting, but I still don't like it.

Re: In praise of the S&W Model 10

I had a model 10-5 with the rounded butt and used it as trade bait, now I'm finding myself wanting another.

Re: Spurs

Judging from how many Model Ts Laurel and Hardy smashed, they were never in short supply of axles.

So maybe it wasn't too much of a bad deal.
Very easily could have been a bad one, maybe next time.

Re: Different stock length on 91/30s.

I figured the front of the stock got damaged so they just repaired it by cutting it off, but the butt stock being shortened too? Quite strange and now it has my curious about my own.

Re: Spurs

On the newer looking one, back left, it's marked crockett, the others don't appear to have any maker marks.

fnh cz27

Is there a good source of information on fnh cz27 pistols? I saw one at the gun show this last weekend for $400, it looked alright but the slide seemed weak and a bit gummy, sticking and hard to pull near the end of the cycle. I'd never seen one before and didn't want to buy a lemon as I didn't know...

Re: Spurs

I don't know much about spurs, but I'd seen these on top of my dad's shelf as long as I can remember, and when he said he was getting rid of stuff I just had to take them. https://s26.postimg.org/6752qxa5h/20180104_095524.jpg https://s26.postimg.org/unn8leilx/20180104_095549.jpg https://s26.postimg....

Steyr M95 bayonet

I got this bayonet just before I moved and just tossed it in the bayonet box, just unboxing now and realizing that it's for an M95 which is great because I happen to have one. Rifle is in my safe as that hasn't made the move yet, so just the bayonet for now. https://s26.postimg.org/8zyaau06d/2018010...

Re: M16A1 clone

The one I bought directly from Green Mountain Barrels was phosphate coated but the pins still had to be drilled. I wish I had bought the upper years ago when we could still get them with the surplus barrels, then I would have been able to avoid some of the machinist cost and have a more original rif...

Re: MAS 36

The bayonet was really done well, it's still straight despite all the twisting. I'll have to get it out of the safe when I'm back in town.

Re: 1944 VKT

I was thinking it may have been AZF, but I thought it was weird as I couldn't see even the faintest of the rest of it, or really any grinding marks.
