Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: The Old Forum.

Also another good reason why sporterizing milsurps is just stupid in these recent decades.

Re: Unfortunate divorce

Being one of two children of a divorced family what made it easier were the parents getting along, as much as divorced or soon to be divorced couples can be, and not using us as a tool against each other. I didn't think it at the time, but others may make the connection, but the kid is half you and ...

Re: The Old Forum.

I forgot how I found this place, but it was probably trying to find information when I stumbled upon the website, which has been gone for a while now, the one before the forum reset. I just haven't been that active on web forums as much as I used to, busy with work and now school again. Though I do ...

1944 BYF

I bought this a labor of love project, it came to me as a chopped stock sporter which fortunately the person didn't cut the barrel or drill into the receiver. Kind of sad as it would seem to be a totally matching action, even the serial number in the stock matched. I eventually purchased one of thos...

Re: thought I would come back and try it out .

I was on the old site as well, but I forgot when I started. I let my online presence drop off and only realized recently that the forums had gone through a complete restart.

1938 S/27

I got this from a gun show a while back, it was labeled as a Russian Capture and does have the X, but also has this weird concentric circle 'K' or 'R', it retains it's capture screws, missing cleaning rod, has a front sight with no grooves, and has an earlier hardwood stock. https://s26.postimg.org/...

Looks like someone went from a new truck to a 1998 Pontiac Grand Am while still making truck payments.

Not quite sure how I feel about a firing pin resting on a primer, it's probably fine since it's just resting, but I still don't like it.

Re: In praise of the S&W Model 10

I had a model 10-5 with the rounded butt and used it as trade bait, now I'm finding myself wanting another.

Re: Spurs

Judging from how many Model Ts Laurel and Hardy smashed, they were never in short supply of axles.

So maybe it wasn't too much of a bad deal.
Very easily could have been a bad one, maybe next time.

Re: Different stock length on 91/30s.

I figured the front of the stock got damaged so they just repaired it by cutting it off, but the butt stock being shortened too? Quite strange and now it has my curious about my own.

Re: Spurs

On the newer looking one, back left, it's marked crockett, the others don't appear to have any maker marks.

fnh cz27

Is there a good source of information on fnh cz27 pistols? I saw one at the gun show this last weekend for $400, it looked alright but the slide seemed weak and a bit gummy, sticking and hard to pull near the end of the cycle. I'd never seen one before and didn't want to buy a lemon as I didn't know...

Re: Spurs

I don't know much about spurs, but I'd seen these on top of my dad's shelf as long as I can remember, and when he said he was getting rid of stuff I just had to take them. https://s26.postimg.org/6752qxa5h/20180104_095524.jpg https://s26.postimg.org/unn8leilx/20180104_095549.jpg https://s26.postimg....
