Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: What model of Swiss?

I've found a post on another forum that states "All 1911 long rifles will have a serial number over 355,000 and 96/11 will be under 350,000". Is that correct?

Re: What model of Swiss?

Can GP11 ammo be fired safely out of a 1896/11 if it isn't a 1911?
Its missing the mag and the ones I've seen are $125-150.

Re: What model of Swiss?

There's no splice to the stock and all the other stats are to close to tell any other way so I guess its a 1911 rifle.

What model of Swiss?

Is there any way to tell an 1896, 1896/11 and a 1911 rifle apart form one another? Are Magazines hard to get and do they all take the same type of mag? Thank you.

Re: Kitchen Table Gunsmithing

One thing I seem to use a lot is a couple different shape and size stainless steel dental picks that I've bought over the years.

In picture 21 all the small stamps on the side of the receiver will let one of our experts find out what receiver maker and time period it came from. If I had to guess I would say Remington 1903 but that's just a guess.

Re: Stick'em with the pointy end

The last bayonet is for a French Fusil modele 1866(Chassepot). I think it may fit a few other models as well. It will send spiders running when they see it coming.

You can't go wrong at that price delivered. If there is something you don't like about the rifle you can always get your money back on resale.
