Re: HARD to lock clips in

If the rifle is working fine other than the heavy clip locking then it should be assembled correctly. With all that being eliminated then you're going to have to start looking at parts out of specs, clip latch, follower, follower arm, follower rod etc. Sorry , but that's the best I can say without b...

Re: HARD to lock clips in

Is it hard to push the clip down the last half inch till it locks down and releases the bolt or the whole way? If you're not use to it, it can seem extreme. Tried another type of clip(aftermarket, U.S. or foreign military)? Ammo seated all the way to back of clip? Heavy new finish on clips and/or ri...

Non-corrosive and should be boxer primed. I've fired a bit of that brand in 7.5x55 Swiss with no problems.

Re: P38 under French control.

40,500 total, I thought there would be a lot higher number built. They don't seem to bring the money a WW2 built P38 that was produced in the 300,000+ would.

The last k98k marked by Steyr that I know of was "bnz 45" in one line across the receiver ring.

P38 under French control.

Are there any numbers on how many were made under French control in 1945-46? This would be the P38 referred to as "the gray ghost".

Type 99 box magazine

Found a last ditch Nagoya type 99 rifle and have a question for those who know more than me about them. Did the last ditch rifles have a steel box magazine inside them or was it done away with on the last ditch rifles? The rifles complete other than that missing and the mum filed off. Thanks for any...

No, but the front sight usually does not interfere or appear in the scope.
I was hoping that it wouldn't interfere with the sight picture in the scope. Thank you....

Scope ring height

Will a set of extra high Weaver rings be high enough to be able to see over the front sight on a flattop rifle.

Re: 1903 Rear sight question

SRF went away and came back with a new owner so that my explain the new sign up. If that's a deer jumping in front of a sight picture on the side of the sight then its a Lyman. The small screw right next to the elevation knob is to set your lowest setting on the sight. Screw it down till it hits the...
