Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: Trump Moves to Ban Bump Stocks
Well.. here is my take. I did not like his general statement to "ban ALL devices that turn legal weapons into machine guns". A bump stock only allows the shooter to shoot the firearm faster with still one trigger pull at a time. It does not change it to full auto, and it does not improve accuracy.....

Local auction tomorrow has 1901A3.
Sporter. Looks to have the original stock, chopped. The original barrel minus the front sight and wings. Someone pounded the top and bottom of the bolt ball flat but I have spare bolt bodies. It has been drilled and tapped and has a scope mounted. I have already rescued and Smith Corona and I am not...

Re: Tag read Austrian made Mosin?
If I am not mistaken it looked like this. No sling, no cleaning rod IIRC. Stock was darker but in decent shape.https://www.bing.com/images/search?view=detailV2&ccid=ZDnKRggo&id=72A5E29336333AD44F9C9196C4C273C407317D30&thid=OIP.ZDnKRggoUhouGUg5TiWa6wHaBH&mediaurl=http%3a%2f%2fpictures.gunauction.com%...

Tag read Austrian made Mosin?
Was browsing one of my local pawn shops today and ran across a different looking Mosin. The tag read that it was an Austrian made Mosin 91. The light was not good enough to read the writing on the receiver. It looked like an early Century import marked on the left side of the receiver? Some place in...

Re: Sharing: My 1911.
I have not done one for years now and I believe a lot of the parts from Sarco have dried up. Frames can still be had for around $200. If you can get the parts kit from Sarco somewhere north of $400 probably.http://www.e-sarcoinc.com/451911autobuildkitlessframeandslide.aspxJust checked this. Makes it...

Re: Opioid problem

More than two decades in Mortars....

Re: Finn 1891 rifle
The only real thing I have against the MN rifles is the hard to operate bolt compared to the smooth action of say, an Enfield or a nice Mauser.

Re: Different stock length on 91/30s.
The two stocks are different in other ways, too. Like where the sling slots are. I will have to post a picture, maybe tomorrow.
