Re: My pair of sporters

I like the stock you have on that one Tommy Atkins. I could use a couple stocks similar to that.

Re: My pair of sporters

I enjoy the sporters. Cheap and utilitarian. Some are prettier than others. I would like to put some more sporty wood on the one that the barrel is cut, and would love to get a beech forend and handguards for the other. I also have my eyes on a no1mkIII sporter, that is in a black plastic stock, wit...

My pair of sporters

A while back i got in a trade a no4mk1*. Recently i read that all mk1*s were made at long branch, or savage. I find no s markings on my rifle, or markings denoting savage manufacture, i do have a number of B markings leading me to believe a longbranch. This weekend i traded my 7mm mauser for a secon...

Re: Questions on my new sporterized 1903

I have my great grandfathers 03 sporter. And one i built out of parts he left behind in 1980 when he passed. They are awesome rifles. They seem to like 168 gr sierra matchking bullets. Yours looks pretty nice, and will make a great hunting rifle for your son.

Re: Night hog hunting

Wild hogs can be quite tasty. I have killed a few on public land here in Florida, and cooked them all. The big old boars can be a bit gamey, nothing smoke and marinade cant cure. The ones under 50 lbs are quite tasty, have little fat, and are easy to carry 2 miles back to the truck. The big one are ...

Re: COYOTE CALLS

Well we do have urban coyotes here. The ones in our woods and swamps are a bit more aware but that doesnt mean the street coyotes are easy to spot. I live less than a mile as the crow flies from I4 in tampa bay area and we have coyotes. I got a "predator call" as a gag gift from family as they were ...
