Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

CLOCK

Right back Mark - We will try this again. They keep coming out with new clocks. I don't know if this is the latest or not.

Re: Our clock

Hi Mark - Heck, I hit the submit box and it deleted my link. I'll have to try this again. Maybe because I didn't hit the 'preview' first. I find a whole lot about this forum that is not self explanatory.

Our clock

This is for Mark...I could't get the duplicate deleted, sorry. I didn't want to put it in the accuracy section because then it would be 'off topic'. Our working clock was constantly traceable to this clock by radio, or to which ever one they had running at the time. The Navy always wanted to know wh...

Re: I polish those dies

Yes mark, I have worked with the spit dowel, but larger sizes...almost to inside diameter. I have paper up to 3200 for polishing. I am a retired Metrologist. This covers a large diversed field so my speciality was in electronics. But after I retired I took a machinist course at a local Votec school....

ACCURACY ???

This is kinda an accuracy story...I guess most of us has heard this about sighting in your gun at your hunting camp because of the travel and bouncing around that your gun may get getting there...sounds okay...I spent a summer after I retired in Alaska and I gathered that this is almost require by s...

Tac Glasses

By the way, I mentioned Shooting glasses...That ‘Tac Glasses’ technology I think is amazing. I want a pair in yellow, but I can’t find any around here and I want to try them first rather than buy them on line. If one has tried them, what do you think?

Re: AMMUNITION ACCURACY

Yes that clears up the grit information perfectly. I am reading a sentence between .3 and .4 about rifle weight that looks unconnected to either of those statements. Not super important just thought I'd bring it up. ***********************************************************************************...

I polish those dies

I never see this mentioned so I will. Back in the late 50’s I happened to order some reloading dies from Herter’s at 1.95 a set, and the sizing dies were rougher than a cob. With a 40 power hand viewer the insides looked like a mountain range and sure enough the cases would look very well scratched....

Re: AMMUNITION ACCURACY

I use the Foster Flash Hole De-burring Tool. Not for all loads, just anything that needs to be more than issue accurate. **************************http://www.surplusrifleforum.com/download/file.php?mode=view&id=4112**************************************************************************** http://w...

Re: AMMUNITION ACCURACY

Great information and easy to follow. I am confused however regarding #3. polish the bore. Are we talking about a paste product to hasten land and groove break-in? That last sentence has me totally lost. ************************************************************************ Okay, I assume you are...

Re: AMMUNITION ACCURACY

Try the Optimal Charge Weight method devised by Dan Newberry ... and you’ll get a more accurate load in less shots! His method identifies the ideal node for that rifle, powder and load. Most, if not all, F Class shooters use it or some similar variation thereof, like the older Audette ‘ladder’ meth...

Re: AMMUNITION ACCURACY

Yes Rapidrob - some of your things I have not done - as I say there is no end. I wrote this a while back off-hand with just my thoughts to a person that may be brand new in reloading. In no way it is meant to be contradictory to anyone else’s ideas. **************************************************...

Re: AMMUNITION ACCURACY

Most of us try to make our reloads as repeatable and consistent as we can but some may forget the burr on the inside of the case as the flash hole is usually punched into the case and usually leaves an irregular burr, which may cause that group to be larger than necessary. That irregular burr may ca...
