Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: Is this an original sling for K98k

One final note, on almost all German slings there are 3 rows of stitching not just 2. I got to look at some of my M48s to see what type of stitching is present on a Yugo sling. Here is another pebble grain frosch. You even have the dirty bird screaming I'm German! 23_frosch_B.jpg Is my memory gone, ...

Re: Is this an original sling for K98k

It is better that the colors match (thats what I would expect), and if you see some kind of faint markings, it is more evidence it might be German. Pebble grain leather is a German thing found on WW II holsters, ammo pouches, equipment straps/belts, map cases, sight carry cases and boots. At the end...

Asking the wrong person, an old fart with a 10 year old flip phone and a rotary on the wall. I use an ancient Cannon early digital power shot SD 1000 that has all kinds of settings. Macro works fine. :violin: It is only 7.1 pixels. It provides OK photos. this one has all the stuff: https://www.ebay....

Re: Is this an original sling for K98k

I am unsure, it could be Austrian post war or if it has stitching along the edges a Norwegian made sling, but the ones I see do not have a cross hatched pattern. The frosh looks darker than the sling leather if that is a fact? I thinkest :shifty: it's a miss match on those two items! The steel butto...

Re: w625a Trainer Questions

Kind of a hard find; a few years ago the last on I saw had a $800 price tag on it-- way too much for a .22. You got a rather nice find unless you paid top buck say $1000. A few collect these items and they are high rollers. Now you need this reference book: Training Rifles of Third Reich Germany Har...

Re: 7.62x54r surplus price check

I have never seen a tin of 188 rounds . Could it be this stuff 220 rounds per tin? https://www.sportsmansguide.com/product/index/220-rds-762x54r-182-grain-fmjbt-ammo-with-tin?a=1133349 Look at the loose stuff and see the headstamp and ID the ammo and see what you have prior to purchase. Any pictures...

Re: 7.62x54r surplus price check

These are the tins our Fleet & Farm store got and people returned them about ten years ago because it was bad ammo at $45 a tin of 300 rounds. I dug one of my old stock tins out for photos. The oxidized tin( unpainted) measures 10 3/4 "x 6 1/4" with a depth of 3 1/2'. It contains 300 rounds in rotte...

Re: 7.62x54r surplus price check

At our Fond du Lac gun show on Sat 19 jan 2019 a guy had 6 tins of Albanian 440 round sealed green tins at $125 a tin, there was one guy that had a silver tin of Bulgarian Russian Mosin ammo at 80 bucks, but it was a smaller tin and looked nasty on the outside maybe 300 rounds in the tin?? (after se...
