Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: What war is this belt from

The markings indicate an original CW cap box. I assume the belt and buckle are most likely original too. Not reproductions. I could not see the markings or back of the buckle.

That is a Civil War style percussion cap box not used in the Spanish American War and the buckle looks like a US Union, Civil War oval buckle ground down or cut. It is not the square style found on Spanish American War uniforms. It appears to be early 1960s reproductions for re enactors. Civil war s...

Re: 91/30 How strong is the spring?

   Ya, wait till you get those crazy safety caps on the pill bottles. I had to use my band saw to cut the top off. I just could not push down hard enough and still try to screw the stupid kid proof cap off. Then you got about 20 pills in a large bottle that can fit about 500. What a ...

Re: Need to identify some 8x56 ammo

If it's Turk 1950 dated ammo, it is sure fire most of the time , sort of hot with a good kick in an 8mm Mauser rifle, and it is corrosive.

Re: Need to identify some 8x56 ammo

Now you got your ammo listed in the Russian Mosin section> The Mosin uses a 7.62x 54R rimmed bottlenecked cartridge, not 8mm mauser. This is Russian 7.2 x 54R ammo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCjwxYAvmSM https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/7.62×54mmR Here is a picture of the Russian ammo and style st...

1891 M91 eyeballs jumped out it's so nice

I was looking at other forums and caught this fantastic Mosin M91, an intact specimen that is FANTASTIC. AS perfect as it gets. Can you even imagine finding such a rifle? Talk about a lucky day at a gun show. About as good as coming out of a stroke in 5 days intact, like nothing happened. 1899 Tula ...
