Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: Milsurp collector age

Here is a stupid question. :geek: Do most of the under 30 group go to gun shows or buy from on line sources? No time to hunt for a gun :?: For me half of the fun was the HUNT  searching, meeting fellow collectors, dickering & trading and all the fun that went with going to a show. The hunt an...

Re: russian tt33 find.....maybe

Thanks for reposting the pics. When I was in Mo, Cape Girardeau, Perryville, and East Prairie back in the early 1980s -SEMO archaeologist -I never found a pawn shop that nice in MO. I did find a hot looking student that I married. Best gal ever. Those thin Mo. girls are lookers  Looks like Mo....

Re: Milsurp collector age

I see most surplus collectors are in their 50-70s. Most of us picked up the stuff when it was cheep or not import marked during the first Golden age 1950-60s and the second Golden age 1990-2010 mostly import marked goodies. Turks and mosins by the box full, or one of each date since they were $59-10...

Re: russian tt33 find.....maybe

Not a tok holster. This is what a black Russian navy Tok holster looks like. Ebay photos. That is a $800-1000 pistol especially with matching 2 magazines. Must not have seen too much action. Its rare to find one with a matching mag , almost impossible for two. :snooty:    :dance...

IMG_1139.JPG IMG_1140.JPG IMG_1148.JPG For some reason it will not let me post the dirty bird inspection marks photos. I always have problems posting photos with my 9 year old Mac. Got to do it one at a time and can only get 5 per post. Hence, so many individual posts for 1 rifle. He had tw...

Re: Israeli K98

This is from a write up I am working on about commonly found K98s at gun shows. I am talking about this rifle pictured here. I recently found an example of a 7.62 NATO converted, post war, Czech built K98k. So here are some of its attributes. This one was made from left over and newly made s...

Re: Israeli K98

Odd, I just traded a VZ 24 lacking a crest for a similar rifle. I walked around 4 hours and only had 5 people look at the vz, but the lack of a crest was the killer at $300. A guy had $390 on this .308 , so we traded. Both rifles headspaced and had excellent bores. I got in trade a dou 45 a tack dri...

Re: Whats in your range bag?

Archaeologists and foresters (as well as construction workers) always carry a first aid kit in the truck and car. Teachers on field trips with students also carry kits, plus student medicines . A general kit is also on someones backpack when in the woods or field. Too many barb wire incidents, branc...

Re: 85,000 plus M-1 Rifles are comming home!

I bet about 60 % will be shot out dogs and the other 40% the CMP will have to rebuild or fix to bring them up to shootable condition. The CMP has got to pay for the shipping, packaging, and loading to get them here, then when they get to the CMP they got to cull out the good ones if any. I'd hate to...
