Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: 1908 Bronze ashtray ID request

still looking for more suggestions. No luck with NDA or a google picture search. Must be some society with the 100th anniversary doings that started in 1876. The nautical theme in WI is also odd. No mermaids or crabs like that in Lake Michigan or WI lakes. The farm was build 1880s and is still stand...

Re: Military Surplus k98ks commonly found at gun shows

I agree they seem to go $1500-4000 for average specimens and it appears a lot are humped. I left the prices out on most of the links. It would be a lucky day if one could stumble onto one at a small show at $500 because they think it's a common K98 or do not know the type. :shhh:  ...

Re: Military Surplus k98ks commonly found at gun shows

NOT COMMON AT ALL A very odd form/variant of k98? Or at least a sort of K98 looking thing? See the bottom link to a post for the answer to this from ( pzjz.) Could you imagine stumbling onto one of these at a show for $500- that would be a deal of a life time. I am showing this info. because I neve...

Re: Mosin m44 BB replica, nuts

Kind of funny the price of a BB gun is the same as a real Mosin. A WZ 48 would be a better bet at $300.

With real Russian markings it would have been nice to have next to the rack of real ones, lacking these its just an expensive toy.

1908 Bronze ashtray ID request

I dug this up back in 1965-67 when in high school at a farm dump in Menomonee Falls, Wi. Back in the day we dug for old bottles (bitters, beer, poison) to sell to the antique dealer for cash. I got my first hot rod that way. I never could identify the organization. It is identified by a N on the lef...

Re: Something fishy in K98s

It has been a while. Did anyone buy one of these cleaned up/rebuilt Classic K98s (the "MITCHCLASSIC" replica/facsimile humped K98 rifle) that can post some close up photos of the work/details, font, evidence of re-blued, grind marks/highly polished surfaces, and fake stamped markings????

Re: historical replica review BB/Pellet

Check out the Mosin it would be cool except for its lack of Russian markings????

I'd rather have a $300 Polish WZ 48 .22 trainer.

Re: Vz 98/22 sight trouble

I assume you checked the bore? The rifling is good and the crown good- no nicks. Even with wear they are good shooters. Does the bolt match, and if not, did you check its headspace with a FIELD gauge? Be sure rifling is visible at the end of the barrel and not worn smooth. Good crown, good rifling t...

Re: Mosin m44 BB replica, nuts

Not when Mrs Santa does the payments! Way beyond my means. If I cut back on the crestor and blood thinners it would be easy money. Maybe a therapy rifle that insurance might buy.   :occasion-santa: :occasion-snowman: :occasion-snowman: I paid half that for my WZ 48 and its a .22 ...
