Re: M1917 warped stock, etc.

Re: 1917 Movie

Re: My new to me Ruger P89

I’ve shot my brother-in-law’s P-85 on several occasions. Robust but very accurate and pleasant to shoot. I actually prefer the grip and feel of it as compared to the Ruger American 9mm. It ate everything that it was fed with no issues. They can be had for a good bargain.

Re: NM MILSURPS January Handgun shoot

That sounds like a fabulous event. Our force used to have a 100yd knockdown contest with Glocks. A little bit indirect fire...a little bit ricochet...a little bit holdover.

Not taken with a milsurp but I did use a vintage caliber: .250 Savage chambered Remington 700.

If you’re going to Virginia, then head to Quantico and check out the National Museum of the Marine Corps.

I’d take it off to see what it looks like underneath. For about $5 worth of Krylon, you can always go back to camo.

Re: United States Military Academies

Do we have any graduates or attendees of our nation’s military academies? Specifically USAFA? My youngest son received his appointment on Monday. We toured the school a year and a half ago: very impressive. Not at all like the Marine Corps :D Any tips, pointers, etc? Another nugget of wisdom, that ...

Congrats!

Memorize Plebe knowledge before starting Cadet Basic Training. Learn the USAF Ranks. Learn to polish brass and do spit shines on low quarters. Get in running shape.

Good luck!
