Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: Eddystone fixer upper

This one was salvageable and was returned to as issued. The trickiest part was the FSB. I have another sport job, 03-A3 Smith Corona, that I thought was a Griffin & Howe, it was done so nicely. I took pictures and emailed the to the G&H historian. He was kind enough to send back comparisons pictures...

Re: 1858 Remington Carbine Revolver

after having been frozen, make sure the timing/indexing is dead on, when your arm is past the front of the cylinder, an shaved ball is most unpleasant. :/ It was stuck from sitting/neglect/poor environment and didn't appear to have been shot much, if al all. After freeing it up, it seem to cycle fi...

Re: Went for ammo...but

One round without powder, one moment of inattention, bye bye hands and face... Only trust your own loads. Sent from my ONE E1003 using Tapatalk I wouldn't buy, let alone shoot, someone home made hand load ammo. just way too risky, especially from someone you don't even know. but it's your hand/face...

Went for ammo...but

Hi Fellas, Responded to a "WTS .45 ammo components" listing. 850+ rounds of match hand loads, done by a competition shooter switching to 9mm. While shootin the breeze, he happens to mention he had a Commercial 1917 Colt 1911 he'd let go of if I was interested. He'd been running Glock for comp. New b...

1858 Remington Carbine Revolver

Hi Fellas, The posts keep counting, Earlier this year, my LGS came up on some BP stuff that had been neglected. One item, a .45 revolver carbine, had a frozen cylinder. Because of it's condition, he let it go for dirt. Douched with Kroil to soak overnight, freed it right up. Looks spanky now. I've g...

Mossberg M44

Hi Fellas, Post upping, My first rifle was a surplus Mossberg 44US U.S. Property marked. My pops bought it at the base surplus shed for 5 bucks in '60. I learned to shoot accurately with that bad boy. When I went to qualify at the hunter safety program, the instructor watched me load a single round,...
