Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: Ishapore scope mount?

Well, ended up ordering the S&K mount as a D&T wasn't available. It sure looked shaky but mounted solid. Took about two hours with a Dremel on the synthetic stock to properly mount it. thanks for the recommendation! I have that same set up on my '67 2A1. Mine came pre-Bubbad (this rifle could be br...

What 72 usmc has stated, is echoing throughout many similar forums, where such a question has been raised. Me thinks the anti crowd is gaining national ground, little by little, and here in Kali, cash & carry has been gone since 2014. I've never needed an 03, because I always did good on the street....

Re: Guadalcanal captured type 38

I love it. I HAD one quite similar given to me by my uncle in 1960. He and my pops were in the 1st Filipino Regiment. Last year, he told me he liberated it when they came ashore in New Guinea. I cut mine down, when I was a kid. Now I building a Carbine clone out of it. PAX

Re: RUSSIAN 727

Yes, yes indeed...I have always thought someone should basically copy that AK-47... tighten things up here and there and give it a little beefier receiver with a cartridge just a little bit stronger and have one heck-of a military gun by just adding maybe 4 ounces at the most. I know, I know, don't...

Re: RUSSIAN 727

Russian stuff is generally rugged to begin with. It makes total sense that they beef up the gear, run off dirt. Modern DC-3ish. OG, was your rig half people, half cargo on the same deck? PAX

Re: Survival Situation

good point echo...hell with the law when all hell breaks out! There would still be RULE OF LAW, and you'd need to be cautiously courteous, in a savage manner, but mag capacity would be the last thing on my mind. With these types of hypothetical questions, for me there's only one kind of scenario, e...

There are locations where the Garand is the only one permitted of all the other rifles mentioned.
That's why I raised the topic.
Would it matter what's permitted in such an occurrence? Pretty vague scenario. Hunker down holding the fort, or on the move? Solo or with your crew? PAX

Re: Polytech SKS Hunter Question

I'll have to see about messaging Candyman and seeing how in depth the fix would be to get her right. The wood is severely splintered. PAX as far as offing it, I don't even know where to start , the old SRF had a for sale board? I saw something about a for sale group on here? Don't want to be postin...
