Best advice is to locate an ' ugly duckling' with an unmarred barrel and receiver Make sure it is for the M 1903 not the o3A3 NO EXPERT

NO EXPERT I have no experience with the Italian rifles........ That said, I seem to recall something called " gain twist rifling on some modes. The theory being to speed up the bullet velocity, the last 4 or 5 inches of the bore were given an increased twist For all I know this is an old Italian wiv...

As I recall I did, but it seemed the case mouth was more chewed up than was worth the work On the plus side

NO EXPERT I have enjoyed mine and found them to be accurate and reliable I found the ejected brass to be excessively
mutilated but ammo was so cheap , who cared ??? HOPEFULLY you gun will be better behaved than mine were

NO EXPERT It has long been a feature in the g un business to take something not so salable and make it more attractive and create a little more buzz STOKES KIRK . BANNERMAN , SAM CUMMINGS bought the stuff by the boatload In some cases created guns that never were All part of the fun !!

If original, with good loads they can be safe Are they in 6.5 or 7.35 The rifle can produce surprising accuracy

SO I am guessing the handguards are gone as well as both bands and the retaining ring . IF the gun has a mint bore and lots of blued finish I would be tempted if I had everything on hand Parts are available ;) but the gun will be a restoration Others here will contribute , and wisely as well NO EXPERT

Does the wood looked warped or split IF the stock is cartouched I would resist any alteration IF you have access to a sporter stock , try and install to improve accuracy NO EXPERT
