Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: The Enfield Rat Rifle

I might revisit it sometime this fall with an eye toward doing that. Looking at how the Enfield stock is it surprises me they don't have a reputation for being on the weak side.... but I'll try and see what can be done. The barrel itself, I would think, should be a good one, it came from Sabre Defen...

Re: The Enfield Rat Rifle

One of those things that I started in a fit of enthusiasm and like 20 hours into it I realized it would take another 20, I didn't have either of those 20-hour stretches to spare but after the first 20 I knew the first 20 would have been a waste if I didn't waste another 20 on it.... :-) More to go s...

With 30-round mag. They need to be modified and it is oh so much easier on plastic. Show with and without the brake. Barrel has a pinned and welded flash hider threaded to take an AK74 brake bore to .30. Not that you need it. http://i.imgur.com/zXr9Mds.jpg http://i.imgur.com/PzTSpBZ.jpg http://i.img...

Re: The Enfield Rat Rifle

It shoots "well enough" I suppose..... you can break 2" at 100 but pretty much only with Lapua ammo.... so far. I probably have only 125 rounds through it but enough to kinda confirm the expected: old Chinese ammo goes 4-5", Fiocchi and Federal are much better, but Lapua was the best. So, pretty goo...

The Enfield Rat Rifle

The Rat Rifle. I call it the Enfakar: A 1917 Enfield. The AK47 caliber, 7.62X39, in an AR15 barrel. This one was on the old site but reposting in case of interest. This project ws not a good allocation of time ("not worth it") but once started, I had to finish it. http://www.m-guns.com/largefoto/pic...

Re: Who Bubbaed your Enfield?

I postedthat one on the old site, will try to get around to posting details again as requested. So, just back from seeing Dunkirk and.... wanting an unBubbafied Enfield! Really strange, got home from the movie and the cropduster was working all around the house. After you see the movie you'll get it...

Re: Reloading for the K31

I've had pretty good luck using GP11 as "Mexican Match", pulling the bullet with a Hornady collet too and doing a direct replacement with a 175 SMK. For me, in my Remington 700 experiment, GP11 turned out to be, well, as accurate as expected but with regular fliers.... I don't get them with the MM.
