Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: VZ24 in 7mm

VZ24JC - lightened version - rather uncommon in that nice condition.

Got the windage dialed in. Really taking a liking to this rifle. Waited much to long before picking up a Japanese Rifle!

Sounds like you got a killer deal too. :handgestures-thumbup:
It’s 21 1/2” long.

24th series Kokura Type 38

Picked this one up on GunBroker for $234 shipped. Great shooter - finish very good - stock not messed with. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171104/bb203901a31a2c645149e5492b387023.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171104/5138870bf56770bfa39f48b93e8e811a.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2...

Added another SA large ring Peruvian 1909

Picked this one up on GunBroker for $210 shipped. Advertised as an Argentine 1909 with bad headspace. Could see it had a Lange Vizier so I knew what it was. Arsenal reconditioned Peruvian 1909. Formed 7.65x55 brass from 30-06 surplus to solve the headspace issue. Good shooter. Peruvian Pig sticker p...

Re: Chilean m1912 Steyr

My 1909 Argentine also shoots quite well. Unfortunately the previous owner rechambered it to 7.65x63. It is all matching[emoji20]. Yes these SA long rifles are superb shooters. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171010/16511909bfca5bc19470d511a854519b.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171010/57...

Chilean m1912 Steyr

I restored a Brazilian m1908 back in the summer with a $100 matching action from GunBroker as the basis. This rifle shot like a dream and I fell in love with the 7x57 cartridge. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171010/73cc828b467d34dc087f766f1d63bd7e.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171010/9...

Re: Stoked! M24/52c.

One of my most accurate rifles is an m24/52c. This 100 yd target from a local match has 5 of the 10 shots in one ragged hole 7 o'clock in the 10 ring.

M41 restoration

An elderly gunsmith buddy gave me a complete m41 action recently with the stock - cut off just above the lower band. Couldn't resist the challenge to restore it. Fond a nice looking barrel last week on eBay for $39 shipped. Springfield Sporters had the wood stock section I needed for $9. They also p...

Re: Why would anyone want an Enfield

My BSA 1916 arrived as a barreled action with the clip charger removed. A walnut DP stock set from Springfield Sporters featuring "early" metal made for an easy restoration...,except for replacing that darn clip charging guide. Springfield Sporters sent me one still attached to the back half of a de...

Re: P14 project done

Love to see these old rifles restored. I also restored an Eddystone 2 years ago with my gunsmith buddy's help. Unfortunately mine had about 3" of the muzzle whacked-I guess to remove those ugly sight guards. My buddy fabricated a bored out "false muzzle" from a worn out m1917 barrel and threaded it ...

Yugoslav 1899c restoration

So what do you do when you need an 1899c to fill a hole in your Yugoslav collection but you can't find one in good condition at a decent price? Restore one on a complete action purchased on GunBroker for $100. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170830/83314fbc2dff23e3715e160e36170650.jpg Hmm...small...

Venezuelan Carbine Restoration

These restorations are beginning to be habit forming. Picked up a nice Venezuelan Carbine barreled action off GunBroker for $129 shipped. All the metal parts down to the handguard clip and tiny screws were there. Had the buttstock and stock tip left from the vz98/22 stock I used to restore the Belgi...
