Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: Spring/Summer 50 yard Milsurp Shoot.

Nice shooting with the 7x57 Prof!

I had some fun developing a cast load for my Danzig 1895 Gew 1888 this past weekend:

Using a trim die to form 8x57 from 30-06 has been very helpful. I used the Lee 8mm Maximum mold and some vectan powder for this.

Re: Curiouser & curiouser, said Alice! (FAL mags)

Cool! It makes a lot of sense...the Indians acquired the FAL in an interesting manner. They reverse engineered it after trials, accusing FN of bribery (and thus backing out of the order) and threw in British features in the revised design. R. Blake Stevens' book on the FAL has the full story. There ...

Re: Pet loads for 8x56R and m95/30 "stutzen"?

My steyrs seem to like cast bullets at short range.

225 grain bullet sized .331, no 2 lyman alloy

13 grains Vectan BA 9

Privi Partizan brass, S&B primer

I have also had luck with the same bullet using 24 grains of AA 5744 powder.

Re: Article on royal family problems

I would honestly take the royals in this article over most of the Critters that we have in government now.

They generally left the common folk alone....

Re: Spring/Summer 50 yard Milsurp Shoot.

Quick question for AM:

Can i use my BSA Australian Cadet Martini?

Outwardly it is in its original military configuration.

It has been converted to 32 Winchester Special. Wierd but it works.

Re: Something to think about

There is quite a difference between people that shoot guns and those that just collect. Sometimes these categories interesect. I personally care more about the shooting part.

Re: National Vintage Military Rifle Match 4-5 August 2018

I think there are two categories in this match....

1903 rifles

1917 and everything else.

I think the 1917 is the better fighting rifle but thats just me.

I plan to just use a rifle and a sling. No goofy vests or jackets for me!
