Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: 800 yards with the M-1917 again

Nice shooting Rob and Ammolab! Thanks for the advice. The M 1917 did extremely well with cast bullets at 200 yards. I used 23 grains of shooter's world Buffalo Rifle powder with a 200 grain Lyman 311299 cast bullet. The young people enjoyed shooting it. I miss out west with their wonderful long rang...

Re: Saudis celebrating with guns

This reminds me of an old memory from my first deployment to Iraq...back when I was on Patrol Base Banzai/Camp Justice in Kadamiyah, Baghdad. The Iraqi Football (Soccer) team made the quarterfinals for the 2004 Olympics. The resulting celebratory small arms fire came up on Q36 and Q37 counter-batter...

Re: 800 yards with the M-1917 again

Nice shooting Rob! May I pick your brain? I am developing a 200 yard reduced recoil 30-06 load for some young people. The rifle is also an M 1917. Would crimping help at this range? What does crimping do for accuracy? I am using a 155 grain hornady HPBT with a canalure. The barrel is a brand new Crit...

Chassepot to FAMAS book

Hello Everyone, Anyone check out the Kickstarter campaign for Ian McCollum's book on French Service rifles? Today is the last day for the Campaign. I think it will be an awesome book! Pricey but I think worth it. Here is link to the book: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/headstamp/chassepot-to-f...

Re: SOME THOUGHTS ON ACCURACY & OTHERS

The US has long been an Oligarchy. Basically the Banks and Government have merged at this point. This process clearly started in the early Progressive Era under Roosevelt and later Wilson. W.J. Bryant said after losing the 1900 Presidential Election that the next war would be with Germany. He was co...

Re: SOME THOUGHTS ON ACCURACY & OTHERS

They emasculate teachers in Japan! Ouch! (just kidding..I just found that funny.) The dumbing down was done on purpose here. More people going to college means more social indoctrination and long-term debt. Support the system and you receive free child care up until age 18. Logic and Classical Philo...
