Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: Milsurp collector age
I am 68 and retiring the end of this month. Been buying guns since I was fourteen and still buying guns. They will all go to my kids after I am gone, well some have already went. Last gifts were WWII General Motors M1 Carbine to my daughter and a M1 Garand to my son. Still have plenty left.

Re: US ARMY USING BB GUNS
I went through basic at Fort Bliss in 1968. No BB guns were used. However in Vietnam, I acquired a single shot Marksman Repeater BB pistol that looks like the 1911 .45 auto. I would take it on guard duty and use it to shoot at rats. Don't know why or how it got to Vietnam but I took it home with me ...

Re: Breaking the Ice....
I have a solid frame model 97 riot gun. Mine was made in 1909 and is marked IP. A deputy that I used to supervise told me that he had seen a lot of the 97 riot guns marked IP and they came off Indian Reservations with the IP standing for Indian Police. Mine does not have much of a finish but interna...

Re: Thinking of a 10/22.
I love my 10/22s. Can't stop with just one. I have a take-down tactical 10/22 and then a nice wood stocked one with the Alligator Head carved stock. Love them both but would like at least one more. Perhaps the wood stocked take-down model with the Ruger emblem carved in the buttstock. I have owned m...

Re: My SKS Collection
Hope Harvey has not caused you any problems. I caught 15 inches in my rain gauge but only problem it has caused me is I can't get to the range because of flooding. Nice SKS collection. I am down to one SKS after giving two to my children. Stay dry.

Some of my revolvers. Two Webley .45's both shaved for .45 Auto Rim or ACP in half or full moon clips. Three .380/200s. One Webley, an Albion Motors without hammer spur and a RAF marked Enfield. Other picture is my 1917 Smith and a 7.5mm Swedish revolver.

I have both a Model 36 and a 49/56. Both are in 7.5x54. I like them both, would not buy one that was converted to .308.

Re: M1carbine problems
I picked up an Inland a few weeks ago that would do the same thing. I examined it and discovered that it needed a good cleaning and oil. The bolt was not fully closing after firing so it would not fire the second round out of magazine. Cleaning and oil made it run just fine. Might not be your proble...
