Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: Steel Ford boots are not bullet proof

guns and stupid people are never a good mix

every year several "Einsteins" get shot and killed testing "bulletproof" vest. the only thing that I hope for is that they didn't breed and brought in another generation of morons and idiots polluting the gene pool.

Re: Is this authentic? What's its story? What's it worth?

like any antique which what this pistol is, if you go sanding and polishing things up (and yes BRASSO is a cleaner and polisher) and make it look like it was just made yesterday, what you do is diminish the value of that piece substantially by taking away the patina and the bruise and bumps it has h...

Re: Is this authentic? What's its story? What's it worth?

it's a Model 1842 DRAGOON Pistol. can't see when it was made you cut the back side of the lock where the date would be

if it is real, it looks to me it just might be, someone polished up the brass and refinished the wood, which I would believe would hurt value tremendously

sporterized Swedish Mauser.

not much to say about it , someone took a military M96 Swedish Mauser 6.5x55mm and made into a "hunting rifle"

why was the barrel threaded? only the person that did that would know. silencer? possibly?

paper targets

I know that a lot of you, like myself, go to a shooting range. some shooting ranges, like mine, will only let you shoot at paper targets, and not things like plastic bottles, bowling pins and other junk to shoot at. paper targets are not cheap, they are pricey for something that will just end up in ...

I love posts like this! For one, it makes me feel young.

enjoy it while you still can. because getting old is no picnic. once they start sending you AARP applications, and funeral homes send you brochures about their "pay now, and be buried later plans" your days are numbered :D

Re: Found some Wood

the wood stock set is what drove me to pick up a Australian L1A1 parts kit, buy a inch receiver and had it built. live is too short to have ugly plastic on a nice battle rifle. :) http://www.hunt101.com/data/500/medium/L1A1_2.JPG http://www.hunt101.com/data/500/medium/L1A1_1.JPG http://www.hunt101.c...

where did you spend 4th of July 1976?

I figured since it's going to be the 242nd birthday of the United States, I was wondering where did you guys and gals (if there are any here) spend the country's bicentennial (200th) birthday, I spent mine in Hohenfels, Germany on field maneuvers. command issued a stand-down for that day so units co...
