Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

So, how does the new one shoot?
Shoots excellent, just a bit high @ 100 metres but I knew that in advance.
Already ordered a higher front sight to make aiming a bit easier and then I'm completely good to go 8-)

Re: Swedish newbie

Definitely great rifles.
I already had a M38, a bubbafied M96 (bolt and stock modified by the previous owner) and a Ljungman......this one will fit in nicely :-)

Swedish newbie

A good friend of mine inherited a swedish M96 last year but it wasn't his cup of tea......so: took a bit of time but it finally moved to my place last weekend 8-) Carl Gustafs Stads Gevärsfaktori, made in 1915. Came with some extras: sling, front sight hood and aftermarket flash hider. Cleaning rod ...

Re: Any Friends In Germany?

I live in Belgium but out of experience I know not every german seller is willing to send ammunition components to other EU-countries, let alone the US. Second problem in Belgium is that it is forbidden for belgian civilians to ship ammunition components; it's only allowed if you're a company. Last ...

Re: Newbie K31

Thanks guys! Can't indeed go wrong with a Swiss rifle; already own a model 1911 carbine/K11 and a model 1911 rifle of which I'm very satisfied.

Re: Buying an Enfield wasn't the plan but......

Thanks. Will need some practice with the peep sight, since I'm used to mainly shooting mausers-type sights.

Re: Gewehr 98 steal

K31 i already got but can highly recommend. The lee is in worse shape then mine (stil not bad shape). The webleys i really really want...455? The "new" one in .303 looked very well, wouldn't be surprised if it was refinished somewhere. Anyway, price was ok imo: 350 euro (same as for the one in .22)...

Newbie K31

Bought this K31 about 2 months ago. Serial n° indicates it was made in 1948. Woodwork well used but metal parts all in fine condition and smoothly operating which was, beside the good price, the main thing for me since I bought the rifle as a shooter. Checked for a troop tag but found none. Some pix...

Buying an Enfield wasn't the plan but......

........I couldn't resist buying this one last week: Lee-Enfield No4 Mk1, made in 1944 by BSA.

Bolt not matching.

Well used but that's part of the charm for me. Took it to the range yesterday: very satisfied with it 8-)

Some pix below.

Re: Gewehr 98 steal

An extractor and a cleaning rod is indeed not that hard to find.
I visited Hervens last friday: he had a K31 for sale and also 2 Lee-Enfields: the .22LR he has for quite a while now and a No1. Also saw a bunch of Webley-revolvers.......tempting tempting ;-)
