A few times I had been tempted to purchase something from them and shoot the dice that it would be good.. When the...

Re: Something fishy in K98s

Yes, if they are not forth coming about how bad the bores are. Oh if someone took all the time & expense to "refurb" these.. and then they are selling them to folks that want a pristine looking rifle.. I am going to go out on a limb and say that the barrels are going to be pretty good.. Because if ...

Re: Something fishy in K98s

OK now not wishing to cause a rumble here.. But this is a serious question... If these guns are refurbished and If you wanted a perfect gun for a gift or whatever I can almost understand the price better.. there was a lot of work put in them to "fix" them up.. And not work that the average person co...

Re: Something fishy in K98s

I do not know how Classic does it.. You can go to Gunbroker and find lots of his items for less... But each and every time they seem to sell out :)

Those cartouches look so fresh... also with no other dings in the stocks.. those rifles must have been owned by some real REMF..

For its purpose its gong to be fine, you have no say in the game laws you're obliged to work with. Herre's some info on the Golden State/ Santa Fe brand. https://webpages.uidaho.edu/stratton/SantaFeRifles.htm Nice web site,,, I personally will never sneer at a Golden state Enfield again... And I no...

Re: Lee-Enfield System

There were also even smaller denominations than the penny. That should put the difference in the actual purchasing power backwards adjusted to remove inflation into perspective. The "Old" Penny as opposed to the new "Pence" was a huge coin, about the size of a U.S. silver dollar. It actually was co...

Re: pic metal ship box with odd BCD 43 K98k

Does you box look like it had hinges on it at one time??? No hinges, the box is a thin sheet metal, not galvanized. Not a real heavy gauge like a Sears tool box, but still a sturdy box. Maybe the metal thickness was like a US GI ammo can, but not refined edges. It must have took a bit to dent it up...

Re: Lee-Enfield System

My catalog is a reproduction, but its undated. However I've seen similar covers that are original dated 1912. Factoring in inflation for 1912 sterling that 135 shillings would be a hefty £756.27 in 2018 money! Here's the opposite side of that page with all the specs. Lee Enfield Carbines specs20180...
