Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: Military Surplus k98ks commonly found at gun shows

Well to find that rifle at a better price.. you should set up there as a dealer so you are in at set up and you kinda need to set through the whole show for walkins.. When you go in as a regular person, that rifle has been viewed many times by people who know better.. Yeah things have dried up.. I c...

Re: Military Surplus k98ks commonly found at gun shows

OK, I love Rock Island Auctions.. and have nothing but high respect for them.. But in that example the rifle ended at 8+k Here is one on Gunbroker that went a lot less and kinda went fishing for a bid.. And over the few years I have seen these in the 1500 range on gunbroker. Now the Rock island one ...

Re: Mossberg 42M

Damn fine looking rifle.. have you shot it yet?? Did the Military contract rifles have the door in the butt stock for the extra magazine??? I have a civilian version and that butt stock magazine was the whole reason I purchased it.. Not alot of extra info on this page but they are a wonderful websit...

Re: Mosin m44 BB replica, nuts

I was trying to find this air gun rifle that looked like a modern rifle that shot pellets and as it did it ejected brass shells and it was expensive, can not find it.. But did come across a couple of over the top air guns.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1BsRtCjP8Q a couple of nice 1919s https://w...

Re: Mosin m44 BB replica, nuts

Kind of funny the price of a BB gun is the same as a real Mosin. A WZ 48 would be a better bet at $300.  With real Russian markings it would have been nice to have next to the rack of real ones, lacking these its just an expensive toy. We all have our jelly spots that do not make sense ...

Re: Mosin m44 BB replica, nuts

Gletcher goes to the trouble to make the bayonet work, but are irresponsible in reproducing accurate Russian markings and produce a plastic stock with fake cleaning rod?? Go figure... I feel less of a need, Santa can leave me off his list. All I can think is that these are sold all over the world a...

Re: Mosin m44 BB replica, nuts

That does look nice.. that has to eat through air cylinders fast.. The one site said they were limited to 200???.. that does not seem right, in the spirit of mass production and all... This is a bit gooberish, but it does show someone shooting the thing and the bayonet does seem pretty strong... htt...

Re: P38 under French control.

Got to thinking about this later, and another factor is I think there is alot of these still out there in the box, My suspicions that people purchased these as collectors pieces, never played with them and now still out there in great condition. I am amazed if you go on gunbroker how many are in the...

Re: P38 under French control.

Well, it is understandable... They were released later then the german ones... They were released in mass compared to the German war time pistols that came over in peoples duffle bags and much smaller batches. Many people cast a jaundiced eye toward them because they are not original. And of course ...

Making your own 6mm flobert in the privacy of your house

So lets say you wanting some 6mm FLobert ammo and you were to cheap to buy a tin for 70 bucks could you not say get 22 cb shorts.. Remove the bullet.. Remove all that unneeded powder.. Then reload the 22 short case with a lead 22 cal pellet or lead 22 cal bb.. would you not have a reasonable facsimi...

Re: P38 under French control.

You know, I have been rooting for that number and I can not really find it.. But just looking at the serial numbers If this is true the last French p38s is 500L http://www.p38guns.com/Lasttwo.htm And the German stopped making them in the Mid Fs and the French started somewhere in the Gs Then there m...

Re: Is this really a P38 SVW??

Desirability depends I guess on the owner, this one went to a guy they call Frenchie... He wears a Beret, he smokes only Gauloises cigarettes, he has a thick French accent and he will buy all French guns like this... So price is no object for his.. to him this is desirable.. Go figure..

Re: Is this really a P38 SVW??

French-made examples of svw45 frames with ac43 slides are known to exist and will not necessarily have the 4-point star on the slide, but will likely have the star on the barrel and/or locking block. Bottom line is that the P.38 in question is almost certainly a post-war French pistol, but the Walt...
