Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: No2 MkIV With No4 Rear Sight?

Sorry I don't have any pictures, it was spotted at a gunshow where taking pictures isn't allowed. It was a 1924 BSA No I MkIII converted to 22. Unmarked magazine which still contained its .303 follower and spring. Black parkarized metal, lots of scrubbed markings and no markings on the wood except ...

I am sure that this foto is not from Balkan area. Looks like somewhere in Russia, Poland or Ukraina.. Partisans from Slovenia worn diferent "uniforms" and caps. Some photo from Slovenia and other parts of Yugoslavia with British and US weapons. Interesting one - young Partisan, British instruktor a...

Re: My SMLE No1 MkIII* veteran of two world wars

Here you go, Lee Enfield "Balkan Carbine" with partizans. Look at the muzzle to see the mods for Mauser bayonets & so on. Some were "Long Tom" Lee's cut down to carbine length & fitted for Mauser type bayonets , looking at the magazine I think this was one f them. Balkan Carbine.jpg I would love to...

Re: M1 carbine 30 rounds magazine

I am not enough of an expert on those to even think I can say I know positively .. Buuut, if the magazine is not Stamped it is not GI.. I do know that there was some European companies that made some for export in the 1970s and they were not marked.. But that is just one I know of, I sure there has ...

Re: My SMLE No1 MkIII* veteran of two world wars

Gosh I love the look of that rifle.. It is amazing... And I was not aware before that SMLEs were made available like that from the Germans.. Never thought of that.. I had read where England supplied lots of rifles for the Partisan fighters.. Is there any way to 100% know which path this rifle took??...

Re: Shooting 45 Acp out of a 45 LC revolver who needs a cylinder

From what I have found, another glitch to this little shooting test is that the max pressure for a 45 LC round is like 14000 psi with the max pressure of a 45 acp is like 21000 psi.. So unless reloaded down you would need to use a revolver that is way over built to accept he higher 45acp pressure.. ...

Re: Mannlicher M95 ammo pouches

So amazing if a soldier has 4 of these pouches and one in his rifle he is carrying 45 rounds of ammo. Which is not even 2 magazines of ammo in a modern rifle today.. On the same topic but a little different, came across some bits from a 2016 Hungarian movie Szürke senkik https://www.imdb.com/title/t...

Re: Mannlicher M95 ammo pouches

Darn your eyes, you have posted that metal ammo pouch before and I have just gotten over needing some.. and now you do it all over again.. Those are so wonderful. The photo of them with the card board ammo packages are just so instructive.. I wonder in the day what the price was to make a metal ammo...
