Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Guess you can sell it, but don't you have some blood laying around that you are not using that you can se...

Re: Bazooka Charlie

Amazing, Love how troops will upgrade their vehicles and gear in the field.. Was talking to a guy who flew an observation plane in the Pacific Theater. He would fly with hand Grenades in glass jars and would pull the pins of the grenades in the jars and then chuck them out the window. When the glass...

Re: The picture find of a lifetime

How cool is that. What are the odds of finding a photo like that. Unfortunately I don't have many photos of both my Grandfathers who served on the Eastern Front. Both survived and ended up as POWs with the Americans and British. Much better options than the Russians. Are you able to tell where he w...

Re: The picture find of a lifetime

I guess there are quite a few here my age whose fathers fought in WW2, I'm sure most of us would pester our fathers about their time in the war. My father was in the German Wehrmacht, one of the lucky ones who got conscripted when things started going bad for Herr Hitler. He was lucky that when he ...

Real detailed Battle of Stalingrad series

This is a fantastic series on the Battle of Stalingrad. So often Stalingrad is either told in an overview or at a single person point of view.. This series takes the battle and tells it in a street by street, unit by unit level. Does help one understand how the Germans kept thinking they were on the...

Re: Old yugoslav mountain warfare kit, ww2 style

You ask a good question, I have seen the large pick/ace called a climbing axe and climbing pick it seems interchangeable in common man talk.. Now what you have I would call snow shoes because ice shoes usually just have spikes on the bottoms of them and are a much smaller foot print size.
