Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

This Auction house has a large gun auction 2 times a year or so. He is having another. I think he butchers the names of the Surplus guns on purpose. Each auction there are bad mistakes. No one can make this many mistakes without meaning to. Then when you get to the auction, listed 8mms become 7mm et...

Re: Very interesting shot gun

A little more information on the pauly gun system, and some info in the ammo that helps explain its shortcomings http://www.germanhuntingguns.com/feature-articles/a-breech-loading-gun-for-brass-cartridges-by-pauly/ Nice info on the Ammo for the Pauly shotgun, so it seems that the ammo was not up to ...

Amazing firearm for that early time. The auction house that sold it is by me and they do get some fantastic pieces in and I might say they go for some high prices after you figure in the vig.
Do you attend the auctions???

Re: Turk

Those 93 Turks are a fav of mine--only downturn is I'm afraid to use Turk ammo--has a rep for being "hot". Since I don't reload, limits me to searching gun shows for bargain-priced old boxes of US commercial 8mm. Since I did not have a 93 when the Romanian ammo was plentiful/cheap, I did not buy an...

Re: French Model Berthier 1907-15/34 find

You know what, I am going to disagree that the price was nuts.. High yeah.. But nuts, not so much.. Points of reference I have been looking for one for years. They just do not turn up on Gun Broker that often. In fact I can not recall one selling on a open auction Last one for sale I saw was a demil...

Re: M38 Carcano FAT41

That is really fantastic.. I came across one carbine that has the lower sling mounts.. But this does not have the side mounts.. That forward barrel band is like nothing I can ever recall.. Very neat..

Re: WW2 Mauser HSc

That is such a nice pistol.. I am so amazed about these and the 38H pistols. They made like 1/2 a million of these pistols during the war.. But somehow they are not as famous as the p38s and PPks.. Yet they have a very futuristic design with that decocker.. Really nice pistol.. Have you shot it yet....
