Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: 2018 - Mosin Nagant Prices

A 1970 spam can at $29, adjusted for the change in the CPI would cost $159.50 today. Present 7.62X54R ammo cost is almost exactly the same price it was nearly 50 years ago. Back in 1970, I would have worked over 20 hrs to buy one can of ammo (working on a fishing boat, busting my butt). Today I can ...

Re: 2018 - Mosin Nagant Prices

Prices have gone up disproportionately on the lower priced models. Snipers still top out at around $1000, as they did 5 years ago. Spam can ammo seems abundant at about $150/440 rounds. Still relatively cheap.

Re: Swedish M41B

How does it shoot? In my hands, with decaf, I can shoot just under MOA with just about any ammo. I can't do much better than that with any rifle, so lets say that the M41B does not detract from the best of my abilities. I think a better bench shooter would be required to determine it's full potenti...

Re: Swedish M41B

I reblued the metal, refinished stock, and overhauled the optics to get it back to as-issued. I'd be drawn and quartered by some as a heretic for doing so, but I own the rifle. Doug Turnbull is just up the road from me, and when he does the same thing, someone writes an article about his having work...

Re: Swedish M41B

Everybody who owns one likes the M96, and these are the best of the lot with a siderail scope. You'll like this one. Yes, they are accurate with the right handloads. Mine is also dead nuts accurate with 50-yr-old surplus and el cheapo Prvi, and everything else I've found.

Yes, $200 is VERY reasonable. They are made of unobtainium.

Looks like my starter set. It's a long and slippery slope that leads to one of everything: Allied, Axis, Neutral and Occupied.

Re: Smith & Wesson Victory Model

Hmmm... I know I have one of those knocking around in one of my safes. I'll dig it out and post a pic when I get home. As I recall, it was an AA rework and was Parkerized. It looked new when I got it. Pleasant shooting little revolver. I shoot it like Luke Skywalker (use the force) because the sight...

Beauty! Nice tiger strips on the handguard. There's a forum member (Jason) who makes a nice drop-in peep aperture for the rear sight on these rifles. Let me know if you want his contact information.

Re: Your Favorite .22

it actually has the weight and feel of a real rifle
You should take a MAS-45 or a Reising M65 trainer out for a test drive, and if that's not hefty enough, try a Stevens 416 trainer.
