Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

I'm gonna' say its 8x56 cause it has the "S" on the barrel shank and it's imported markings show 8x56. I'd say trying loading it with a clip and see if it chambers.
The OPs rifle did not have a S. What you see above is my rifle to show what to look for.

I need some help with disassembly on this one ( I have search the net but not found what I need to get past this one).

Has anyone removed the piston? If you want to make a phone call PM me so we can set something up. I cannot figure it out.

Re: 1945 Star Model B I have been around the block...

Bob,

Good info. I will try to swing by Academy today or this weekend and get some more "test" ammo. Not sure when I will get a chance to go to the range but will provide my feedback. I too was wanting to see some 124 grain steel cased but had not found any.

Spanish FR-8 Rear Sight Parts

I am looking for the set screw from a Spanish FR-8 Rear Sight (the part that keeps the dial from spinning all the way around).

Looking to buy or if some on has had one made that would be great for a lead.

Thanks,
Kevin

Re: 1945 Star Model B I have been around the block...

Quick update. Went shooting today with my Dad and thanks to a conversation early last week with Candyman I had some 124 grain 9mm ammo and (most like 95%) of my feeding issues are gone. So I tried steel cased ammo (115g), European 9mm (115), new Old stock B Mag, new Wolff spring and the thing that m...

I've had good results in my 1893s with 170 grain, RN, flat base. They measured .284. Even better was some 153 grain spitzers that measured .287.
LEP,

Are these two still for sale or have they been manufacture discontinued?

Thanks,
Kevin

Re: 1916 education/101

CZVZ, I learned a lot about Spanish Mausers at this web site: http://masterton.us/Spanmauhome I have a few including a 7mm M1916. Visit that page and it you have any question not answered ask hear and we can see if we can help. For the most part a scubbed M1916 is kind of the definition of a Spanish...

Re: My M95

Kpcasey, I believe you have one that was not upgraded to 8x56R. I do not see a S or H generally over the crest-service year (pictures 2 and 7) also your front sight is the older short one and not one of the taller ones which are normally on a refurbished gun. But it is a Budapest and that is always ...

Reloading older Spanish 1893s and or Rolling Blocks in 7mm?

Does anyone use these in reloading older Spanish 1893s and or Rolling Blocks in 7mm? Hornady InterLock Bullets 284 Caliber, 7mm (284 Diameter) 175 Grain Spire How about Lyman #287308 162gr cast? One of my 1893's looks to have a groove diameter of .2855 and the bore at .279 if I measured the slug rig...

Need some FR8 rear sight help

Does anyone know the size of the set screw on the rear site? Also is it stepped? I was looking at mine and it looks to be some kind of 3mm screw BUT a much small diameter seems to be needed for the U channel that I believe the set screw goes into.

Does it look something like below?

Thanks,

Kevin

Enfield No. 2 MK I mark question

I saw a Enfield No. 2 MK I with B.M.C.I. stamped on the cylinder.

Anyone know what that stands for?

Kevin
