Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: I picked up wooden crates and have a question.

The YUGO 7.62x39 is good ammo but corrosive, clean accordingly. Back during the insanity, we sold a bunch of it and found some with green seal on the primers. It turned out to be boxer primed non corrosive! We put it on gunbroker for $1 a case and eventually sold for over $600 😳 Wow, thats crazy!

Re: Vintage Prvi?

The Privi factory has been making ammo for ages. It's under a mountain in serbia or bosnia I think. The old 50's 8mm ammo was made in the same factory.

Re: Originality of barrel

Probably rebarreled either at the time of conversion to an m38 which would have been just before WWII or possibly at the time the barrel was threaded in the mid 50s. I'd lean towards the first theory. Don't know how often the barrels were re evaluated at the arsenals, every unit probably had some f...

Re: 1915 M91 with imperial eagle removed?

My guess a Balkans import, or a rifle out of Romania. Then again, alot of folks roll those into one and the same.

Sling is Bulgarian. I have one just like it on my M38. Russians never made a slings just for the carbines.

Re: Civil Guard M39

That is nice, dumb question, what is the Civil Guard exactly in Finland??? It was their reserve force, kinda like a national guard. It was disbanded in 44 or so I think, as a stipulation of the treaty with Russia, and all their arms were then transferred to the regular Finnish army, which is why mo...

Very interesting. I seen a crate for yugo SKS's for sale at knob creek in the spring with similar carvings in them. I wish I would have had the funds, one would have came home with me!

Re: Anyone have trouble with 7.35 surplus bullets and lee dies?

I figured out the problem, or problems. First I flared the mouths just a tad more, to accept the flat base bullet, and then I also noticed the surplus bullets have 2 different style profiles, and the one was getting stuck in the seating plug, and creating all sorts of issues. I got 18 rounds loaded ...

Anyone have trouble with 7.35 surplus bullets and lee dies?

I have some surplus 7.35 bullets, and I was going to go abouts loading some ammo for the Finn M38 carbine, but it seems something is a miss here. I used Norma 6.5 carcano cases, and sized them up in the 7.35 die, trimmed the cases, and all. I also took my universal case expander and flared my case m...

If your wanting more of a original finish, the dye and schellac will be what you seek. Stock does not look laminated?
