Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Your Swede fetish has gone on quite long enough! You must send it to me to cure yourself of this sin. :)

Very nice, and very rare rifle. You got it for a great price. I have a CG 80 that is really fun to shoot. Post up some shooting results after you have a chance to get it to the range.
Thanks, guys!

I'll definitely post a range report as soon as I can.

Re: Swedish FM 23-36 trial rifle---update...it arrived!

I finally got a chance to compare the FM23-36 to my CG63 Swedish target rifle https://i.imgur.com/cyZ3I6p.jpg?1 It is clear that the barrel profile on the FM23 is significantly heavier than the CG63. I tried to take a few pictures to demonstrate that... https://i.imgur.com/Dr0DKiQ.jpg?1 https://i.im...

Re: Vis 35 Radom

No. Unfortunately, the recoil spring is captive and can only be removed by disassembling the recoil spring guide assembly. This is why I issued the warning. I sent you an email with some minimal info on reassembling the recoil spring guide assembly. Disassembly is easier than the reassembly, and as...

Re: Vis 35 Radom

Bob, I did get the information. I didn't realize that the email I used for this forum was an old one that I don't use anymore.

Thanks you very much!

Re: Vis 35 Radom

My warning probably came off as too foreboding. Bottom line (and strictly my opinion) is that is that the juice just ain't worth the squeeze on disassembly UNLESS you have a defective recoil guide assembly. There is no reason that it can't be done, but considering how tedious the job is I just don'...

Nice 3-lever pistol there, Cal-Fed. Hint... don't take the recoil spring guide assembly apart unless you just absolutely have to.

Bob, you are the second person to issue that warning to me. What gives?

Re: Vis 35 Radom

Thanks, Vandle.

Unfortunately my state has a 10 day "cooling off" period, so it will be a few weeks before I get a chance to shoot it.

My son and I have been on the prowl for a decently priced Radom vis 35 and finally scored one. Can't find any import marks. Nice score She looks to be in great shape Thanks, vandle Here is a page from "Crown Jewels"--The Mauser in Sweden" concerning the FM23-36 https://i.imgur.com/RikjweN.jpg?2 It lacks the thumb cut-out for stripper clips and came from the factory with a Lyman 48 sight. Barrel profile seems similar to ...

Re: Swedish FM 23-36 trial rifle

My FM23-36 trials rifle arrived today at the FFL to begin the 10 day "cooling off" period. Stock is in great shape, as is the bluing. bore looks great and all numbers seem to match. I grabbed a few pictures before it went into my FFL's safe https://i.imgur.com/Iehfd1l.jpg?1 https://i.imgur.com/4nnfM...

Re: I think I got a good deal on A Smith Corona

A few years ago I glommed a sporterized Smith Corona 03A3 with a 6 groove barrel. The rifle is in a sporter stock with a Redfield target sight and an intact 12-42 barrel.
