Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: Swedish FM 23-36 trial rifle

My FM23-36 trials rifle arrived today at the FFL to begin the 10 day "cooling off" period. Stock is in great shape, as is the bluing. bore looks great and all numbers seem to match. I grabbed a few pictures before it went into my FFL's safe https://i.imgur.com/Iehfd1l.jpg?1 https://i.imgur.com/4nnfM...

Re: I think I got a good deal on A Smith Corona

A few years ago I glommed a sporterized Smith Corona 03A3 with a 6 groove barrel. The rifle is in a sporter stock with a Redfield target sight and an intact 12-42 barrel.

Once you get the cosmoline off, it should be nice. That gonna be some work though. Lol.
It was a lot of work. But like I always say... cosmoline is our friend.

Great set of Swedish Mausers, Stew.

I endorse Rob's comment regarding the difficulty in only buying one rifle.

Re: Swedish FM 23-36 trial rifle

I normally promise to post better pictures after I receive a rifle that I have won at an on-line auction, but I'm not sure I'll be able to do any better than those pictures saved from the old GB sales listing.

Re: Swedish FM 23-36 trial rifle

In checking FM23-36's on other forums, I found this rifle had apparently last been sold on Gunbroker in 2016. A member saved pictures of it from back then. https://forums.gunboards.com/showthread.php?174900-Fm-23-36-Trial-Match-Rifle/page2&highlight=FM23-36 https://i.imgur.com/qfqZQ01.jpg https://i....

Swedish FM 23-36 trial rifle---update...it arrived!

Earlier this week I noticed this at an auction. I thought it might be some kind of sporterized hack job, but found that it is actually a rare FM 23-36 Swedish http://dutchman.rebooty.com/fm36.html https://i.imgur.com/Kxw4Afe.jpg?1 https://i.imgur.com/bUfcFYl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/c42UFCz.jpg?1 htt...

Calfed, my bro said his load was 43-44 grains of H4350 under a 129-grn Hornady spire point. Said he shot the OCW method @ 200-yds to set the final charge, then played w/ seating depth (as he OCW method advises anyway).
Thanks, Dale. I've got several bottles of H4350 and various 6.5 bullets.

Re: Faux Swedish M41B CMP vintage sniper match rifle...updated with range report

Very nice! FWIW my bro has a collection of 1 of every Swede 6.5mm bolt rifle and a few M38S had that fancy rear sight. Using h4350 powdah over 120-129-grn SMKs or equivalent shot MOA using the aperture sights. I believe it, Dale. I think this rifle likes the lighter bullets. I may experiment around...
