Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Faux Swedish M41B sniper rifle

Several years back I got a great deal on a Swedish M96. It is not a total mixmaster...bolt and bolt components, receiver, and buttplate match. Floorplate, barrel bands and bolt release do not. Bore is great. https://i.imgur.com/XVCSAyu.jpg https://i.imgur.com/B7ZsYZy.jpg https://i.imgur.com/XT76aDf....

Re: Swedish M41B

The M41B arrived at my FFL today. I got a chance to grab a few pictures before it went into the safe for the 10 day "cooling off" period. It looks legit... Bolt is blued and matching (body). The bolt sleeve, cocking piece and safety match each other, but not the bolt body. https://i.imgur.com/tPEP6E...

Re: Swedish M41B

In my hands, with decaf, I can shoot just under MOA with just about any ammo. I can't do much better than that with any rifle, so lets say that the M41B does not detract from the best of my abilities. I think a better bench shooter would be required to determine it's full potential. But really, it ...

Re: Swedish M41B

Everybody who owns one likes the M96, and these are the best of the lot with a siderail scope. You'll like this one. Yes, they are accurate with the right handloads. Mine is also dead nuts accurate with 50-yr-old surplus and el cheapo Prvi, and everything else I've found. That is a fine looking rif...

Thanks, Ernest. I won this over the weekend so I don't have it in hand yet. Thanks for the tips on the scope.

Swedish M41B ... Update! It arrived

I went out on a limb this weekend and bid on a Swedish M41B at an online estate auction. The auction pics were few and not that great and the description very spare, but I bid accordingly. Here are the pics... https://i.imgur.com/NliuerG.jpg https://i.imgur.com/esMTyGs.jpg https://i.imgur.com/pYn6zK...

Thanks, Ernest

Say, before I got a chance to download the image that you posted, it disappeared. Now all I see is the word "image". Could you PM it to me or repost? That was some great information. I have several unmounted Elite rear sights and was hoping to swap one out for the Solderin.

Re: JRA 1903A4 Accuracy

Nice rifle and nice shooting, Hr!

I'm currently working on getting a Swedish Mauser and a 1903A1 set up for the vintage match.

Re: Argentine Model 1891 Infantry Rifle & Cavalry Carbine At The Range

Those are nice guns, stomper! Do you reload? I've shot quite a bit of 174 gr PPU in my Argentines and have not been impressed with the accuracy. It is a good source of brass for reloading, however. I've got a number of Argentine Mausers, including an '09 long rifle that the prior owner mounted a sco...

Re: New CG 63

Very nice. Those rifles are getting harder to find. They can be really accurate once you dial in the best handload. I used to have a CG 63, but sold it when I acquired a CG 80. Now wishing that I'd kept both. I can't tell what type of front sight you have, but they all have interchangeable inserts ...

Re: CMP vintage sniper match rifle

Wow! Very nice looking rifle, ET. I had Chuck Moline (ChuckinDenver) from Warpath Vintage do the build. He has a sterling reputation and a wealth of experience with 1903's. I've approached this project hoping to keep it under budget. Definitely had a few disappointments on that score. I got a great ...
