Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: Faux Swedish M41B CMP vintage sniper match rifle...updated with range report

Well, I'm wondering how much of a limitation on getting good groups the Weaver 4x scope is.

Low magnification and no parallax adjustment.

Re: Faux Swedish M41B CMP vintage sniper match rifle...updated with range report

That is great shooting! The two at 7 o'clock were the result of the cross being canted to the left slightly. The scope being so high above the bore will cause this and is a learned lesson to really make sure the scope is level. I use the horizon behind the target to verify the cross hairs are level...

Re: Faux Swedish M41B CMP vintage sniper match rifle...updated with range report

I took the faux M41B out this weekend for some 200 and 300 yard shooting. It did pretty well with my reloads. @200 yards, first two were 7:00 o'clock in the 10 ring, the next three were in the x ring. Group size was about 1.5", or about .75 MOA. https://i.imgur.com/gCG0xRU.jpg?1 Things opened up con...

Re: Ljungman reloading

The 5TH round flier has always been a baffler. IMHO I think it has to do with the force or lack of the follower/ammo pushing on the bottom of the bolt carrier. My rifle does the same thing as well. I found that Hornandy Unique Case lube will work as well. Use the slightest film amount you can. If y...

Re: Smith Corona 6 groove quest

I glommed a sported 1903A3 Smith Corona that turned out to have a 6 groove barrel. http://i.imgur.com/4FDvNqE.jpg http://i.imgur.com/xxZccvA.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Zit7a4x.jpg?1 The metal is in great shape and the sporter stock is pretty nice too. http://i.imgur.com/xbQPyAB.jpg?1 http://i.imgur.com/...

Re: M1903 Mk I

That is a fine rifle. Post a range report when you can.

And don't give up on finding a Pederson device. I've seen a couple at auction. They usually go for only about around $50,000 ;)

Re: New CG 63

I got out to the 200 yard range and fired my CG63. Shot pretty well with my reloads.

@200 yards, grouping just under 2", or a little better than 1MOA

Re: Ljungman reloading

Thats great shooting and the rifles sights are some of the best open sights on a rifle ever fielded. I do lube my cases,as the Swedes did but use Borden's Slide-All dry film spray. I also made a gas pressure control valve which really saves the fired cases from damage when ejected. I have shot the ...

Re: Ljungman reloading

Thanks guys. I got out to the range this weekend and took a few shots with my other Ljungman using the lighter loads. This time I was on the 200 yard range and I got the usual 4 decent shots and a flyer. The 4 shot group was 2.25", or a little over 1 MOA. The flyer opened the group up to about 2 MOA...

Ljungman reloading

My sons and I shoot in a semi-monthly semi auto military silhouette match.
