Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: Garand range report

Very nice looking rifle. I have only waited 8 years to shoot one i had rebarreled. Around 1998 the cmp had a bunch of m1d's from various national guard units. Guns were ftom used to excellent to unissued since building or refurb. They were offered with Everything. Most all of it still factory bagge...

Re: Garand range report

Good shooting with a great rifle Calfed. Decades ago the DCM sold M1D's for a week turns out it was like a lottery. No internet so you had to send in your paperwork and a money order for 225 bucks. I sent mine in but was too late by 12 hours. The DCM contacted me and wanted to sell me a M1 that was...

Sported Smith Corona 03A3 range report.

A few years ago I bought a sported SC 03A3 with the thought of converting it to a CMP vintage sniper match 03A4. I never really followed up on the plan, but yesterday I took the SC out and shot it. http://i.imgur.com/4FDvNqE.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Uyta5wq.jpg?1 http://i.imgur.com/rOnBTfN.jpg?1 As yo...

Garand range report

A few years back the Civilian Marksmanship Program placed a few hundred of the "6.0 million", Garands up for sale. These were the "Last of the Mohicans", as far as Garand production was concerned and most were originally made up as National Match rifles. The moniker "6.0 million Garand" refers to th...

Vintage Military Semi Auto Rifle Silhoueete Match

My youngest son and I shot the match with our Ljungmans. As usual, he kicked my *****. Match is 40 rounds, 10 rounds each at chickens (220 yards), pigs (330 yards), turkeys (420 yards), and rams (550 yards), shot with military semi auto rifles. Match winner come from the "as issued" vintage class. H...

Re: Finn Fun @ 300 yards

Thanks, calfed. I snatched up several hundred rounds of this ammo many years ago, only because it was Boxer primed and good looking brass, planning for reloading. Pleasantly surprised to find it's reasonably accurate. Saved and cleaned all the cases. Now down to the last 60 or so original cartridge...

Re: Finn Fun @ 300 yards

Nice shooting, alamo. That is a fine rifle. I bought some of that JMS 02 7.65 x 54R ammunition years ago and found it to be quite accurate. I still have a few boxes of it. Never heard a definitive explanation of where it came from. Some opined that it was contract overrun made for the Gov by Winches...

Re: New Walnut K-31

That carbine is a very nice one, congratulations! Thanks, Frederick! I got to the range a few weeks ago and shot the K31 with some GP11 Swiss surplus. This thing shoots as good as it looks. I started out shooting at the target "pumpkin on a post" because my experience has been that military rifles ...

Re: CMP vintage sniper match rifle

The thing that kills me is that I have a Lyman Super Targetspot and a Fecker which both look better than the HiLux, but are unmarked as to power. I would gladly use them if I could determine that they are of legal power (Max of 8X). I also have a Litschert Spotshot, but it is marked "10 power" and n...
