Bob,

Good advice. I think I'll follow it. But you raise a question for the uninformed. Do the triangular hand guards require the early rear retainer? Or do they work with a delta ring?

BTW, I love that SP-1. The triangular hand guards made them look so sleek. I've considered building a modern 20" A2 but with surplus triangular hand guards.
