Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: The State of Our Hobby

I've met several people at gunshows that are younger than me and collect military firearms. I see younger people at shooting ranges frequently. Some with milsurp stuff. It's not as bad as some would have you believe. There is interest in the older stuff from younger people.

Re: Century buys SSporters

They have started to list some of the rifle and they are super over priced. The deactivated Enfields ss was selling for $50. They want $180. They want $700 for a swedish m96. What a joke.

I would be embarrassed to even own either of those monstrosities and people give me a hard time because I like Vetterli rifles.

That's idiotic. People get a little carried away with zombie stuff. Remember the zombie ammo?

Re: Uruguayan Dovitiis Mauser Carbine

Wow thanks.. I do love the look... Do you know the caliber?? They a chambered in 6.5x53 Daudetau. An extinct cartridge that was originally developed for a French trials rifle. The Uruguayans are the only country to adopt this cartridge. Ammo hasn't been manufactured for over 100 years to my knowled...

Re: RIFLE BORE PHOTO GUIDE

A few years ago I bought 2 rifles at a gunshow in South Dakota while I lived there. The rifles were a beautiful b barrel Finn m91 and a vet bring back duffel cut Carcano. Some guy at one of the tables showed me the bores of my rifles with a similar camera. The detail was astonishing. This was $100 c...

Re: M1891 Tubata

I have two Tubata M91 rifles. A Torino like the op and a Brescia. I got the Brescia super cheap with the bayonet. I didn't realize how uncommon they were until I was told so. Still need a Roma and a nice Terni to complete my M91 collection.

Uruguayan Dovitiis Mauser Carbine

I obtained a very beat up Uruguayan Mauser carbine recently. If you don't know what these are, forgotten weapons has a great video on them. Does anyone else here have one? Apparently the full length rifles are more commonly encountered. I'll try to take some pictures if I have time.
